@anewellz01 Sorry, I didn't mean to sound condescending. I was just saying that it is technically more powerful than consoles. And it's still partially upgradable. If they cut $50 off the price or gave it 8GB of RAM I would consider picking this over a console.
And yes, there was some pretty brutal screen tearing in the SoM clip. Why no VSync?
I thought I heard you can use the expert install option to set up dual boot so you don't have to wipe your HDD to install it. Seriously, who would want to do that? Maybe if you have an extra HDD laying around, but I'm not going to ditch my other OS's for this.
It looks nice, but to make a game actually look like this would take a LOT of work. The cost of making a AAA game is already absurd. I'm not sure it can get much more expensive since there are only so many people you can sell a game to recoup the cost of development.
It's worth noting that publishers are less likely to grant previews of new games to anyone who has been critical of their past games. Reviewers may be inclined to boost review scores to avoid being blacklisted. I don't think that qualifies as a conspiracy, it's just the way that the industry works.
@djpetitte Honestly, how many user do you think rated the game a 1 without ever playing it? I think the franchise is crap but user reviews mean next to nothing because half are always a 1 or a 10.
Watching the PC version makes me feel a bit ill. Either the game has terrible optimization on PC or you guys need some better hardware. You're getting like 15 fps at the end.
@MovingFusion @Dylantfk Any HDMI cable can work on any screen with HDMI input. AFAIK X1 doesn't support 4K output at all (maybe images but not video) so it doesn't matter anyway. It's the newest version of HDMI though and it doesn't cost any more so there's no reason to include an older version instead.
