I think if a game is only on PC and 360 it should be counted when people do all these articles about 360 exclusives vs PS3 exclusives, simply because the 360 is the only console said game(s) is on.
Why would they drop the price though? I can only see a price drop for the 360 the next time there is one for the PS3. To be honest no matter what Sony does the PS3 won't overtake the 360. This is simply because they don't have a flagship title that will cause people to buy the console. The 360 has Halo, people still buy the console for Halo 3 and sales will probably rise when Reach is out, the Wii has Mario. What does PS3 have? I wouldn't call Killzone a flagship title. MS and Nintendo have had the right idea this gen, casual gamers are more important than hardcore gamers in terms of sales and making money so they have targeted them. MS also has an appeal to hardcore gamers as well which is why it sits in 2nd place. Sony is last because casual gamers couldn't give a damn about 'the cell'.
I would say hardcore gamers are PC gamers really. I think the 360 is a mix of hardcore and casual, Casualcore. The PS3 is slightly hardcore but to be honest a lot of people will have bought it just because of Blu-ray.
To be honest every console is going to have good years and bad years. Lets not forget the PS3 has had a few bad ones. But the fact that the PS3 is improving is only good for gaming as a whole.
I would say its the best myself. What people forget is that the 360 shares a lot of games with the PC so those games arn't counted as 360 exclusives, even though the only console you can get them on is the 360. So it does make sense to have a 360 for those games as well as games that are actually classed as 360 exclusives. The Wii is pointless to own really, my brother has one and spends more time on his old PS2. At first he played the Wii a lot but there are barely any good games for it. Its basically a Gamecube with motion control. And I don't know why people buy it to get fit either, you can lose weight easily without equipment that costs money, its called pushups, you use your arms to do them and guess what! Those came free when you were born! No cost!
I find it hard to believe that Assassins Creed will just be a trilogy. I think it could have been more had they only jumped ahead say 150 years after AC1 rather than the 300 year gap between Altair and Ezio. I thought the Minerva part was good. I didn't mind how Ezio was basically a pawn because thats just what he is. Playing as Altair and Ezio makes you forget that in reality you are playing as Desmond. I thought the game could have done with more scenes as Desmond though, I mean you learn all these skills and you just get to use them at the end. What I hope for the next game is a mix of playing as one of Desmond's ancestors and playing as Desmond himself. I hope they don't do a massive jump forward in time though. I think though, and this is just a theory, that we could see a leap backward in time. This is because they (Desmond and the other Assassins) are going to be looking for these temples, logic entails that the further back in time they go the more likely they are to find them. I would personally like a Greek version, or Roman version. On the whole slap in the face for every religion thing, it happens as well with the codex pages, in one of them Altair says he doubts the existance of a God. I think its good that Ubisoft are pushing boundries with what they do.
I get this problem around every 6 months. I unplug the console, make sure the game isn't in the tray, then give the console a shake. You should hear the reader thingy move. Then I just plug it in and it works fine. I assume its just dust, so a cleaning would help.
