i tend to skim through them when i first get the game.. most times but really... like ya man fox hound said .. if i have a problem thats when i start hitting the books! lollol MickyBlanks

The books never answer anything for me, I just look at the pictures and stroke the glossy pages. :s Normally I just use FAQs and walkthroughs if I get stuck. God bless the internet.

Of course. Whenever I buy a new game, I'll either read the booklet on the train home (because the anticipation to play it needs to be settled somehow) or I'll read it when I go to bed (because I can't bare having to pry myself off a new game to sleep). So in other words: I read the booklet when I can't play, because it makes the withdrawel symptoms feel less bad.

A tricky question.

If I know that a game is old, then I am under no illusion that the graphics are going to be poor. Therefore I never really take them in to consideration.

If I pick up a game these days then yes, I do expect very good graphics. The hardware these days is spectacular (and now with the release of DX11 capable cards, yummy) and so I expect devs to fully utilise everything they can. Plus, for newly released titles that cost £40 a shot then I expect graphics to match the price tag. However, I'd never slate a game just because it had a few mushy textures or a few cases of clipping - I'm fairly tolerant.

Um, sort of... I always followed the pokemon franchise avidly - on handhelds anyway. I got every game right up to Diamond and Pearl. Then I just sort of felt that the franchise was way too watery and thin now, especially with the rereleases of games such as "FireRed" and the upcoming SoulSilver and whatever-the-heck-the-gold-version-is. Devs kept trying to introduce new things, like incorporating the DS touch screen in to gameplay and introducing the global trade system (which was mighty fun at first, but only a novelty worn out after a while), but it just never was enough to either a) preserve the original charm or b) introduce something so jawdropping that I felt the need to grind through another pokemon game.

I always, without fail, wait for the prices to drop. I can't afford to spent the full whack every time a game I want is released because I'd end up with no house. Though sometimes I find that I've waited so long that amazon and gamestation no longer stock the game. If you snooze, you lose. :(

I've tried and tested, and found that getting my sleep pattern back to normal is not a problem. I just resist the urge to nap until I deem the time "normal" enough to go to sleep for real. If I get low on energy, I eat something incredibly sweet and sugary and bounce off the walls for a few hours.

Jeremy Soule's work is beautiful, he did the music for the Guild Wars franchies as well as TES:Oblivion.

You know, strangely, it's always single player gaming that I get most frustrated with. Catch me on my PS3 or any 1P game on my PC and chances are I'll be intermittently yelling at it with some nasty choices of words. Whenever I play online with someone (regardless of whether it's coop, versus or a big match) I always tend to be the one who's distracted - and probably causing everyone else to rage.

Games I want to complete, but can't for various reasons: Assassin's Creed II, Fallout 3 (this has been sat, waiting to be finished since the week it came out tbh), Suikoden Tierkreis, Mass Effect and Lost Odyssey. It's a combination of things which keep stealing me away from these titles. :(
