Do you actually read the booklet/manuals that come along with your games? I tend not to unless I have a problem with something (like save points or other features). How about you guys?

I read them when they are longer than 4 pages. Most of them are way too short and don't have anything to read these days.
I look over them, but I don't read them front to back. I mainly just look up the controls and the finer points of the game. I also like to smell the manuals, but I'm weird that way :P

"New Manual Smell" is the best. :P
I always read the manual, because that's what they're there for. They may explain things in detail that the game won't cover.

The last time I read a manual was for Dante's Inferno. But, for the most part, I don't bother with the manual. I mean, you'd figured that you would learn the basics of the game through an in-game tutorial and go from there. :lol:i tend to skim through them when i first get the game.. most times but really... like ya man fox hound said .. if i have a problem thats when i start hitting the books! lollol MickyBlanks
The books never answer anything for me, I just look at the pictures and stroke the glossy pages. :s Normally I just use FAQs and walkthroughs if I get stuck. God bless the internet.

Same here, and sometimes when i'm watching TV and have the game at hand.
I used to when flight sims (on the pc) had thick books included in the box. With more casual games such as FPS, no. I probably should though on the latter. Take Crysis for example. It was pretty slow going and I was getting my butt kicked for almost two weeks before I read the game booklet and realized I was supposed to have a cloak and other abilities.
I tend to read them when I just bought the game and on my way home.

(SPOILERS WARNING) THIS MESSAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS ABOUT THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: TWILIGHT PRINCESS (SPOILERS WARNING)
As for the manual , i do the same as he does , and most people do , but sometimes , the manual contains spoilers about the game
for example , the twilight princess's manual shows how to control (wolf link) , before i buy it , i didn't know that link can transform to a wolf until i read the manual booklet which ruined and spoiled my surprise.
(End of spoilers)
so i always prefer not to read the manual , and learn about the game in the game itself! ;)
