Don't play WoT if you have any respect for yourself. I got myself into it from the beta in 2010 and I've stuck around completely because of the people involved, but I would never suggest anyone getting into that game from scratch at this point. The developers are incompetent, they do not listen to the community at all, and they've actively been destroying their game by introducing massive power creep that just doesn't seem to stop.

I don't care about Windows 8. Played with it, not a fan. I'm fine with Windows 7 at this point.

Curiosity, does anyone know how to roll back to 1.7.1.5? 1.7.2 is extremely buggy and broken right now and the hotfix isn't live yet on their site, then of course, my particular server isn't updated. I'm not 100% sure how to roll it back honestly.

I'm going to say ArmA II for DayZ as well, then there's also Anno 2070 which I've been interested in, but not enough to throw down full price.

A good chopper team is the most dominant force in the game. They can jump in and take out two tanks in a sweep and then go circle round and do it again killing infantry. then have them as engineers and they can repair too out of sight., come back and do it all again.

The difference is the rate in which aerial vehicles reswpawn, the average ability to use those vehicles, the average capability to use those vehicles, whether or not the enemy team has a seriously anti-air doctrine (this can also be said for anti-tank as well), and how easy those vehicles are to access for people who are not so good at the game. A tank is pretty easy. Move forward, rotate turret, shoot, fall back while reloading. The jets are more so about flying I've seen, they don't pose as much of a threat as they should IMO. Helicopters, however, require finesse. You need to not only learn how to pilot them, you need to learn how to dance and fight at the same time.

Not easy for most new players.

Heatsinks usually come with retail processors, and are more than fine unless you're looking to overclock.

Did it say that his CPU was with a cooler? I didn't check. Personally, I have water cooling because air just never seemed to keep my CPU quite as cool as I wanted them to be. I'm a temperature freak :P

I just don't want this guy to try to start up his computer and have his CPU fry within the 5 seconds it would take.

Wait, there are only retail only copy of the games?>

NoodleFighter

Well...yea. They were released when the whole idea of digital distribution wasn't even around. They aren't remakes or anything, they're just the normal games...but PC versions.

I would personally love to see the FF series expand, properly, into the PC market by releasing their single player games on the PC with the MMO feel afterwards, or just do something similar to Diablo, in that you can have friends run with you on quests. I don't see what's so wrong with that.

I like the vehicular combat more in BF3, but I don't like the balance between infantry and armor.

Helicopters and jets don't bother me unless I'm in armor, at which point I assume that I can and will get hit by a helicopter or jet. However, armor seems the most dominant thing in the game right now. If you have a squad, they're in a tank, while there are two others (one recon and one engineer) they can essentially lock down any point on most maps, except for a points on Caspian Border because it's so large. The other problem is that vehicles, since they're so much more potent (or seemingly so) in BF3, being infantry is just not fun. I play more Rush than I do Conquest and it's variants right now because I'm so freaking sick of getting destroyed by vehicles. When I have some friends one, we'll stack one side of a team and just grab the tanks and we're on our way to victory, even if the game just started, it's just over at that point.

Customization is more expansive, the maps are okay although visibility is a little too hampered on some, and the game modes are fun, but the vehicles potency is what ruins Conquest for me. I don't like SQDM or TDM in that game...so it leaves me with Rush most of the time...which is incredibly enjoyable for myself.

If there is any company that's currently carrying the weight of "competitive" or "hardcore" or "non-casual gaming", it's Valve, not Sony.

 Sony has spent the better part of this entire gen trying to BE the 360/Wii and appease everybody else's fanbases.

Sony:

"Hey look........we have an achievement system too!!.......and its better!

Sony, please continue to innovate, and move the industry foreward

The mistake you make is that you assume innovation is just based upon coming up with new ideas, not improving old ones. The tablet has been around for years, but look what the iPad did. The smart phone market was legitimately functioning well enough, and then Andriod/iPhone came and stomped on people with their new systems using features originally found in other software and hardware.
