I disabled Crossfire system-wide for Ghost Recon Online, only now I want to play The Witcher 2, and Crossfire will not enable itself. While in CCC, I go to the CrossFireX tab, click the enable bubble and then click apply, it simply resets the setting. Any information on this would be appreciated, anything I can find on it is for older cards and software. My system is in my signature.

I know there are plenty of resources to look this up, but I wanted to get some opinions on it. I'm going to be restarting the game here soon now that I got a new computer and I just wanted to play through it again. The things I'm looking for are:

- Texture overhaul, complete if possible.
- Better lighting effects.
- Possibly added content.
- Increased difficulty with leveling up the skills.

I haven't touched the game since...December or so, so I might be missing some stuff that has already happened. Anything is appreciated :D

Both. I've modded them before, but nothing really goes with my liking, but it's not like it's a game breaking thing. The Complete mod made it decent enough, it just looks old, that's all.

I'm kinda disappointed in the loot. It seems after a certian leve, you can't find any more good loot; you have to craft it. Still a fun game IMO. :)

Cwagmire21

One of my main gripes about the game is that it's too easy to get yourself the best weapons and armor in the game, and that certain skills (Sneak, Enchanting, Smithing, Conjuration, and Alteration mainly) are far too easy to level up. After a certain point, there was no real challenge anymore, and thus, I got bored. I think I put around 50 hours or so into it and I don't think I'll go back to it until they either release an expansion, or some better mods come out.

That being said, they did a lot of things right...but just made a few things too easy, and the forms of magic other than Destruction and Healing seemed a little too useless to me, I don't play as a mage though, so I could be wrong.

While in comparison to today's AA and AAA titles, it's ugly and has some clunky mechanics (I personally feel that the menus are ugly as heck too), their gameplay is still extremely solid, engaging, and enjoyable.

I wonder if they'll drop the console development. It was foolish for them to start trying to bring the series to the consoles in the first place.

Wasdie

Was it foolish for any other reason besides it being a cult hit on the PC, or is there some hatred in there? :P

For any other reasons save for sheer volume of games (Steam Winter Sale), I haven't really had this issue much. The only game I can really say I've done it with was RO2, but I have valid reasons for that.

The latest update seems to have broken steam. It's not just you, I went on the steam forums and a lot of people seem to be having this, if not all.

No games can be launched

Steam won't even shut down properly because it won't connect to steam cloud.

This is a perfect example of why I don't like that games are tied to steam. One problem with the service and you can't play any games.

R4gn4r0k

I don't think that's a legitimate "perfect example" because these problems happen extremely rarely, a perfect example would be a service like Steam going down regularly for extended periods of time.

It's a real shame that the franchises have taken over, but I think a large part of it is that they had winning formulas and they are sticking to them, a little too much so for Call of Duty. BF3, while a wonderful game, just feels way too much like BFBC2 for me to really, really, really enjoy it. It's better because the balance is better, and it's prettier, and it's a true BF game, but it still has the exact same feel. It makes other games, like Nuclear Dawn, to basically just get shoved under the rug.

Having GFWL doesn't kill a title because of availability, just take a look at the map that you posted, which large countries on there don't have it? Save for China, there are no major industrialized nations that don't support it. Not having support for it would kill some sales, sure, but a majority? Hardly.
