[QUOTE="theafiguy"]It's not about when you already have the computer on dude, gotta think about start up. The components require a large amount of power to start them up, so having that kind of ceiling is a very, very good idea. I would also recommend having massive amounts of overhead. I am using around 500W right now, but I have a 750W PSU, which leaves me plenty of room to add all kinds of doo-dads and knick-knacks into my computer. I would have to agree that 550W+ would be a good idea. If you were using a quad core, then I would think a 420 would be fine, but I've never calculated with an octocore processor before, so I imagine it needs more power.GTR12
Your computer in your sig doesn't need 750watt, a good 550watt is fine for yours.
Thank you Captain Obvious. I already said in my post that I am only using around 500W.
[QUOTE="theafiguy"]I just did the same update today and while the initial 80% or so went just normal, the last 20% took a painful 6 hours to complete.ispaanscan you tell me how those 2 HD 6850 perform in BF3? and what rez are you playing?
1920x1080, Ultra settings, AAx4, AFx8. Runs at a pretty decent 90 FPS, the lowest I found was 45 when there was a ton of smoke and explosions, and when nothing was happening and I was looking out into a relatively calm area of the game, I was grabbing around 130 FPS. I'm going to enable V-Sync and see how well it plays, but yea, it works pretty well.
[QUOTE="multiplat"]Wow, guess to each his own i loved Torchlight and Fallout 3.I want my TIME back from Torchlight and Fallout 3... I also played about 2 hours of Fable 2 on my 360, and I would like my time back on that too

The exact same could be said about DNF. I enjoyed it because it did feel like a Duke Nukem game, and that's what I wanted.
