Total War should never go that far up, even WWI would be too much due to trench warfare.

I disagree, I think the TW series should cover every section of history that had any major armed conflicts. We've done Rome, we've done the Medieval times, we've Colonial and Napoleonic, we've done Feudal Japan. Covering maybe...Civil War, World War I, World War II, and maybe even Vietnam (although that campaign map would be small, so maybe not) would be a nice breath of fresh air into a series pretty much devoted to older technology and time frames, having something more modern would be nice.

That or China during the Warring States, but I guess you can go play Dynasty Warriors for that.

I don't find "spawn camping" to be a legitimate complaint because, you know, you can choose where you spawn and you can clearly see the area around where you're about to spawn, which would tell you whether or not it's dangerous. Also, the graphics are rarely maxed out, BFBC2 was a joke in terms of optimization, but the only reason other games are able to be maxed out like that with the current generation of configurations is because they're using older technology. BF3 is using a slightly newer version of an older engine, which can come with a whole host of problems. BF3 hasn't been a huge issue with me in this regard, I can't max it, but we'll see now that I have a second 6850.

Yea, I play it fairly regularly. My issues only began today when I installed my second card.

About 75-80.Some have it around 72ish with thermal repaste(since they doubt dell's) and prop up the back for better ventilation..or add a laptop cooler.

Oh man, I couldn't handle that haha. I'm a serious kind of guy when it comes to temps. I just added my second 6850 and I honestly hate that they get even in the 50's even though I know they can easily handle being in the 70's regularly.

I don't think I've ever heard of or seen a game where someone didn't immediately claim it to be the second coming of Christ and someone else claiming it was the worst thing to happen to the industry, or something to that effect.

I've made a topic on the boards for Company of Heroes, but the only answer I have recieved is "AMD sucks" essentially, which doesn't help me at all.

Basically I have a flickering light at the base, and it's only present when a portion of the screen is on the light source. Say there is a lantern in you separate my monitor into 4 parts, only the top 2 are having the issue, and only when it's near the middle of either section, but not between them. Company of Heroes is the only game that I have this issue with. The cards are the exact same 6850's, I am running with CCC 11.12, downloaded the most recent CAP, so on and so forth, but the only thing I can find about anything CFX and CoH are performance reviews.

If anyone has any suggestions or advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

Isn't Skyrim on a new engine though, while BF3 is on a fairly familiar engine to EA? That's part of the optimization that I would go to understand, and that BF3 was developed with PC in mind.
