Once your baby is a bit older and on a better schedule (ie sleeping through the nights, regular naptimes and bedtimes) you will find more time to game. At four months babies are still alot of work but it does get easier. Babies are also easily entertained so putting him/her in a swing/highchair/bouncy seat or stroller and have it sit beside you while you game is a good idea. When my oldest was over a year we would give him a controller that wasn't pluged in and he thought he was playing. :P

Get your gaming in now while they're little because soon enough they want to play their own games.

My 8 and 5 year old daughters both LOVE Hannah Montana World Spotlight. The older one has asked for High School Musical Dance while the younger has asked for Little Pet Shop. It all depends on what they are interested in.

I'm finding season three predicable in what's going to happen but the writing is still excellent. The last couple of episodes have been fantastic. I'm glad to hear it may be around for 5 season.

Did any of you stop and think of WHO buys this "shovelware" and likes it? how many of you have kids? (did it just get quiet?) the lame bratz games, horsez, dogz etc. are enjoyed by young girls (i have one, and she LOVES these games) the others, like the aweful ninjabread man, kungfu panda, shrek, (insert generic cgi movie title here) etc. games are enjoyed by little boys, and girls alike. the poor, cheaply made minigame compilations with gimmicky controls are really enjoyed by people like my parents, who own a bunch of those titles, and like them, but couldn't be bothered to play the games i have at my house.

stop being so selfish. you have to try to look at what percentage of the entire wii demographic you fit into! your "hardcore" group is a minority on this system. face it. come to grips with this reality! some of you sound like spoiled toddlers who are holding their breath until mommy gives them another piece of cake.

the devs are going to produce what sells. unfortunate as it sounds, that isn't always the big, cool, hardcore titles, that we (myself included) prefer. but it doesn't mean that you've been forgotten. your voice is just a little bit quieter, against the crowds of new gamers who find the accessibility of the wii so alluring.

I feel like standing up and applauding you! 'Hardcore' crying because they're not getting their games. My kids love those games you mentioned and with three I am spending tonnes of money for my children's enjoyment. I take offense to some of these posts that mention soccer moms, little kids and 'casual' gamers as if we all don't have the right to a good game. And that means that a good game is relative only to the person playing it. I may not enjoy playing horses or some of the other games that I've bought for my children but it's their enjoyment that counts. I also don't enjoy playing shooters/fighting games but I have never complained about the amount of the those being released.

I got hooked on DDR from the wii version and own both HP 1 & 2 and Mario Mix. I also occasionally play supernova on the ps2 but I enjoy the wii versions better. My biggest complaint is that there are only 51 songs on each hottest party release and over 70 songs on the other console versions.

Out of the games I have I probably enjoy HP2 more simply because I enjoy the song list. I also do workout mode with hands turned on because it counts more calories. I turn hands off when I'm going for AAA's because I find it easier

1. How did you get into gaming?

My parents bought my sister and I a colecovision with Donkey Kong when I was 8 or 9. Our whole family played Lady Bug and Zaxxon for hours.

2. What do you think the average gamer looks like?

I don't think there is an average gamer.

3. What is your opinion on the video game community/how was it when you were a kid?

The internet has really changed the way that people game. Where people used to get together and play games, now they play the games online. There really wasn't a large gaming community when I was younger.

4. How do you act when playing games online?

I only play MKWii online and let's just say I'm glad that the people I'm racing against can't hear what's coming out of my mouth.

5. Where do you see video games in the future?

I see more online play. I see more people getting into video games as a form of entertainment especially since it's less expensive to rent a game and stay home than it is to go out for dinner and a movie. With tough economic times, people are going to spend more time at home and still want to be entertained. Right now, there really is something for everyone.

6. Describe yourself! (as a gamer, personality, habits, language etc)

Competitive. I like to play until I'm good whether it's LoZ or DDR. I swear a lot but then I do when I'm not playing video games as well.

Nothing, my parents have always spoiled me with gifts, and it shall remain so until I am no longer be a parasite to them. If they dont like it then they shouldn't have created me in the first place.tzar3

That just about brings a tear to my eye. And not in a good way.

I've probably spent over a thousand dollars on my children, mostly games but the youndest is getting the ice blue ds because she doesn't have one and the oldest is getting a silver ds to replace his broken onyx one.

Please be sure your parents have really good health insurance. You might need it.
