I don't like the idea of a day one achievement. I love the system they have now with achievements where every single one is attainable by everyone. If they start doing bonus achievements or packing these one day attainable achievements then I for one will lose interest.
I've recently tried to cut back on my "collecting". If I've capped on the achievements and am not going to play the game again then I'll get rid of it. Some are exceptions like complete series. The value aspect I don't think is really a factor anymore since gaming is so mainstream now nothing ever really increases in value. There is only one that I can think of (well two, but I had a chance at this one) Bioshock 1 collectors editions. New goes for almost $300 now I think.
Not Skyrim, I dislike how these polls always have something a little too recent finishing top. Yes Skyrim isn't brand spanking new but still a little too new for game of the generation. Depends how you are defining game of the generation, in terms of influence and success Minecraft I think is up there. Contrary to what I just said though The Last of Us is up there in terms of story. I think though for game of the generation it needs to check more boxes than Skyrim does, great story, gameplay, multiplayer etc. Honestly I can't think of one right now.
Why are water levels always in platformers? Aren't they universally hated? Really looking forward to this the previous installment was damned near perfect! I am a little worried about that touch screen stuff, never a good idea in a game like this to force the player to remove their hands from the controller.

Still nice to see these updates, the one they messed up on was vanilla to Super without the option for a digital upgrade, that was wrong. At least the option is there now. I think people forget that fighting games even ones as well known as Street Fighter don't sell like other AAA games so to keep the franchise alive they probably have to churn out cheap to produce updates like this.
Actually depending on how many games you buy a year it is cheaper over all. Particularly if you are buying a pc for everyday use any way. Check out toms hardware they have some nice builds for 6-700$. Factor in steam sales and the 10$ price difference on the vast majority of new pc games vs console and boom easy. Pc gaming gets a bad rep from people going insane on specs, if you just want to play games you don't have to fork over near as much as you think. It's just a lot of us/them (I game on everything so please don't pigeon hole me) find a lot of fun in actually building the system. Like people who build rc cars I guess.
