Sam Fisher's got a new look in Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Here's what you need to know about the man himself.

Why the face of Sam looks like as it is made from wax ??
Is this video from the console version ??
I expected better graphics to be honest...
Blacklist is going to be a very good game. I have always started playing SC games in a more traditional way of SC first. I prefer not to be seen and take out the bad guys quietly(kill only if I have to) as possible on the first round. Secondly, more shooting, less sneaking around and third, use more of the environment within the game and shooting.
I never liked going all non lethal. I feel like it lessens the idea that sam is a hardened killer. Efficiency is the best way.
the voice ? c'mon people who cares about the voice ? I can't even remember the original voice of SAM it's has been long time ago from the last episod of splinter cell so I can't wait for this one... and for those who pissed off because the changing of the acting voice play RIDE TO HELL and kill youself after that
So they changed voice actors and gamers are pissed, but if they would have retired Sam and brought in a new agent with a new voice, gamers would have been pissed anyway. Gamers are pissed whenever a developer keeps making the same game over and over again, but Ubisoft changed the SC formula with Conviction, gamers were pissed anyway. But if Ubisoft were to they stop making SC games, gamers would be pissed. Am I missing any scenario in which gamers are not going to cry about something?
Grow up you all dumb gamers.. Stop comparing anything to double agent or chaos theory like you people did in conviction. If you don't want a good game to be in market just buzz off and play dishonored and skyrim type shits you deserve that
Splinter cell: Blacklist FTW ........ it will be awesome like conviction ... To hell with fool haters who acting like child "why change of voice, why not this ,why not that?" Ubisoft doesnt care about people who doesn't grow up with time
no need for insults !!!. I am aware it is made for current gen. But it still looks dated. Graphics look very bland and textureless. Even on PC it won't be much better because it will just be a port.
I simply cannot believe so many people are caught up on the voice change and visual differences. My simple response, who really cares? Is the game good? Because that's what really matters.
I've played every single splinter cell game and I've enjoyed them all, and Im sure ill enjoy this just the same.
I could care less what he looks or sounds like, hell I wouldn't care if he had no voice at all. I just want to break necks from the shadows.
Sam is an ageless and always going forward character, much like James Bond. Just accept the fact that it's changed and try to enjoy the new game. It is a game after all, see how it plays.
Couldn't give a fuck what "new look" Sam Fisher has. No Michael Ironside - no Splinter Cell. Does Ubisoft seriously think that Splinter Cell fans wouldn't care that after 10 years Sam Fisher now sounds like his balls retreated back? If Ironside was dead then fair enough but this is bullshit.
There is no denying that there is something audibly soothing about Ironside's voice. I know many of you miss that and that's why you seem so headstrong and unable to accept his absence. I'm still gonna buy this and hopefully enjoy it. sulk if youz want but life move's on ppl!
"Just a regular guy.." - GameSpot.
So true, old Sam Fisher has gone. New Fisher reminds me arcade COD with stealth elements rather than "Splinter Cell".
its just not Sam Fisher anymore... why they didnt just put a new agent in his place instead of putting a nobody with sams name...
Nicely done video! :) But everything about the game smells like Farcry 3, the menus and a lot of other stuff...
For all of you complaining about the new voice and/or look of Sam. Remember, it's like James Bond. :)
Firstly I must say Shaun McInnis should do more of these videos, very entertaining. I do have a bit of a concern with this new Splinter Cell. I get this feeling that with all these gadgets the game will become a bit easy, I really enjoyed the first Splinter Cell when you had very limited gadgets. The sleeping game thing looks like its gonna be a bit cheap. But lets wait and see.
@loneygod Than i guess you have no clue what Tom Clancy Splinter cell is about. Let me guess you have never read the book or play the series ? If you want run and gun than go play your COD.
@inso-maniac If you choose to play assualt style yes. But if you choose to play panther styler it's more like conviction and if you choose to play ghost style it's more like Chaos Theory. It's all about how you want to play.
@AizazSharif "it will be awesome like conviction" Since when is conviction awesome?
@TERMINATOR-SSDThe PC screenshots look good.
@Crypt_mx i totally agree with you. Although i started with conviction but it was awesome and i trust in ubisoft they will not let us down in lacklist as well. those who always do comparisons will never be happy
@CrouchingWeasel I'm a long time SC fan who has no issue with the voice change. Splinter Cell is a game, if it plays well, Ill buy. Personally I don't mind the new voice either. Ironside DID NOT WANT TO DO THE ROLE. He chose Eric and coached him on set. Ironside believes in Eric, and if you love Ironside so much then so should you.
@CrouchingWeasel Its a game, get over it.
@CrouchingWeasel they thought that they're doing smtng good by bringing new technology into the game , but hell , ironside was the icon of sam fisher !
Wouldn't a more recent iteration be "Double Agent" Same Fisher?
@FartFastMcSpeed he does look like isaac from DS!
@FartFastMcSpeed I still play that, single player and co-op with my friend from Germany =)
The old Sam Fisher's perfect so meeting the new one... no can do =/
@wongphAI will be really smart, just choose the highest difficulty level, here is the quote from one of the previews: "If an enemy is in a radio conversation with another AI, knocking out that enemy mid-sentence will cause the AI on the other end of the radio to become suspicious. Furthermore, enemies will start to notice if their colleagues are disappearing one-by-one."
@j_kizi If you'll choose Perfectionist difficulty mode, you can't use Mark and Execute feature and you can't restock your gadgets at supply caches ala Conviction. So the game won't be easy and will force you to use gadgets very carefully.
@charlievo @loneygod i remember playing the first 3 Splinter cell games and always having to wait carefully study all the patrol patterns of each guard before deciding what to do. Loved those games. I hope this one is similar. Gonna miss Ironside though...but anyways, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
@Crypt_mx No offense, but he did not get the chance. Ubi wanted someone younger who could do more than someone of his age. He didn't choose the new guy but does support him. No Michael Ironside is the voice of Sam Fisher. They should have created a new character with a different name and persona.
Most of us here are long time splinter cell fans and have played them all, so no big deal there. I'm up in the air about getting this game, as there is more than just good graphics to make a good game, not that this will be a bad game. Just feels wrong.
And Pacer666, kiss my pearly white ass. Get over that.
You know, demo probably won't help, because they could screw up any mission in the middle of the game. Although they already said that it's possible to complete the entire singleplayer game as Fisher without killing anybody. It's not that hard when you can shot sticky shocker and throw gas grenades. But they also said that 99% of the game can be played without touching anybody. That's quite something! But I'm a bit skeptical too :)
Again, good news.
Conviction was pretty much a shitpile compared to previous ones.
That noise factor is definitely a good thing. Since this game prolly really is going to be good, at this point i'm going to have pre-order it soon then :D
Although, previous years game-experience leaves me still a bit skeptical. Therefore i hope there will be released a Demo of this, so i can be 100% sure that is not going to suck and be just another scam.
By the way, here is another quote from Sneaky Bastards preview about Blacklist difficulty levels: "Fisher essentially has six movement speeds: two when crouched, two when standing, and then a free-running-like Active Sprint mode for both crouched and standing... In realistic or perfectionist mode, anything above the crouched, slow walk will create noise."
So even in terms of sound propagation and detection this game will be harder than Conviction.
