XBOX ONE SUCKS ASS PS4 IS BETTER THAN XBOX ONE

hmm... now how would one describe the fact that after watching this video everybody seems to prove themselves as "not fanboys"  :p

I prefer the Xbox to the PS, but I'm not really a fanboy. I just prefer the experience better, namely, the controller. I can't stand the PS controller. But really, PC gaming is where it's at for me.

Well its actually a fact the PS4 is more powerful than the xbox one do some research look it up, sorry its true. btw I never had a ps3 and only played on one about 3 or 4 times so Im not a sony or playstation fanboy.

I own a 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, 3DS, Gaming PC, GBA, N64, Xbox, Gamecube, PS2, and I'm buying a WiiU in October. No, I'm not a console fanboy.

When Cam talked about the cash factor I felt really sorry for the people who bought the WiiU

Love the music to the ending of this show :)

On a personal level (and no fanboyism intended) - here's my reason for choosing Sony.  Hate if you will :P

I've grown up with PlayStation, had 1, 2 and 3.  But throughout those years I spent a significant time actually playing on my PC; the likes of Command & Conquer, GTA and Worms.  With PS3 however gaming had become that expensive for the PC (to build one I mean) that I transferred solely to console.

The Xbox has always been a great machine, and it revolutionised gaming.  Halo was one of the biggest franchises ever created, and in doing so actually allowed gaming to become main stream and not something recognised with "basement dwellers".

Microsoft however and how they delivered this to their consumers is the main issue I have.

Whereas the PS3 came with everything included (HDMI cable etc.) Microsoft forced you to buy them separately.  You needed to buy batteries for the controllers.  You had to pay to play online.  You couldn't just purchase something from the arcade, you needed 'points' instead.

This year Microsoft then tried forcing DRM on to its customers with a "what's yours is mine" strategy, you had to report back every 24 hours or you couldn't play.  Kinect is mandatory not optional.  The box seems more focused towards an American market than global.

I honestly believe that from E3 this year the XboxOne had a better showing, unfortunately it was Microsoft's policies and attitudes that let it down.

The reason I'll be backing Sony this generation, and likely future generations where applicable, is because they genuinely seem to care about gaming and the people that have gamed for so long; Mark Cerny is incredible.  Yes they're still a business, but they work closely with their studios, allow freedom and self-publishing, actively encourage creativity in projects and not sequel after sequel (The Last of Us being a major example so far in the consoles life).

Whereas Sony pay studios to try something innovative, Microsoft just pay the big publishers for timed exclusives to win people over 'quickly'.  It's all money money money with additional costs here and there, and that's all it's ever been.

I'm not hating either console as i'd happily have both for the games.  I'm just hating how one is being delivered.

Yep I jumped ship from PES to FIFA, I didn tfeel personally attacked though, FIFA is just the better game now. :(. But im hoping for a true PES in the future to give them a run for their money.

I don't understand the whole console war. Because they are the same thing. Only 6.9% of exclusive games on PS3 are worth playing and theres 143 of them. I understand the PC fanboy stuff way more than the PS3 vs Xbox stuff. Because on PC you actually DO have a huge advantage when it come sto gaming with the sheer amount of different types of games the player has access to. The library is just humongous on PC from the 80's games all the way to 2013. Plus PC gamers get most of the Console games also that are any good and they have access to Console emulators to that a completely legal. They miss out only on the 6.9% of the exclusives AND they get the better graphics and mods and user created stuff and the simulation games. So yeah , I get the PC vs Console thing. I DONT get the PS3 vs Xbox stuff. Unless you believe Grand Turismo 5 is better than Forza (which is bullsht) lol

People that A) make an unbiased, informed decision about a console and B)  are willing to weigh any new information against the information they already have: I don't consider a "fanboy" (which, by the way, has to be the stupidest term I've ever heard in my life..... makes me think of boy-bands and anything that does that makes me sad).  It's the people that have become blind zealots for Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo that drive me nuts.  Those companies don't give you the same loyalty that you are giving them.... they are ALL trying to make money by making the best product.  That, is capitalism, ladies and gents.  Vote with your wallet and everyone wins in the end.... winning companies continue what makes them successful and losing companies change their policies until they are doing well again.  Even as someone who has owned a 360 for years, I was thrilled when tons of people that have blindly followed Microsoft broke away to Sony when Microsoft kept shooting themselves in the foot OVER AND OVER AND OVER.... and I was just as sickened when a simply "I'm sorry!" had people prostrating themselves to the X-Bone like nothing had happened.  I understand they changed some of these horrible policies... but the way I see it is that the same people that had such terrible problem-solving skills in the first place are still there.

I was never someone who thought that Microsoft walked on water..... I bought the 360 because it was a LOT cheaper than the PS3.  Even before Microsoft ensured I won't buy anything Microsoft for quite a while.... until I feel they have people that can think in a logical straight line and stay out of social/political issues (sorry, any company that takes unpopular stands HAS to know they will alienate a large chunk of their customers.... and if you don't know what I'm talking about I'm sure you can find out various places on the net), I was still going to pick up a PS4 instead because of the price difference.... and the huge failure rate on the early 360s doesn't inspire confidence that they can make a dependable product without first doing a "paid public beta" in the form of a "Official Console Launch".  I'm a logical thinker.... 1+1 = 2 and A = A.  That's probably why near-blind loyalty when it is NOT EARNED drives me nuts.  I've jumped consoles from Xbox to Playstation..... but if Sony comes out and says you have to put mashed-up puppies in along with the disc to use the PS4: I'll be the first to walk away.

Last thing: a lot of people thought that Microsoft making bad business decisions made them "Greedy."  There were a LOT of comments saying "Microsoft is just making greedy money-grubbing decisions.  I'll never support them!"  That drove me NUTS.  It's like saying because Microsoft screwed up, that somehow meant they wanted their business to make more money.... and because Sony sat back and watched Microsoft ruin their reputation among gamers that that meant Sony somehow doesn't want to make as much money.  Anyone who threw out the "Greedy" line just PLEASE think about what I just said.  Does that make any sense?!?!?  There are not a lot of people that form businesses to NOT make money (aside from the aptly-named "Non-Profit Groups").  Companies are ALL out to make the most money they can for the longest period of time they can.  If that is greedy: ask yourself this:  do YOU not want to make money?  Have YOU somehow found a way to live without having to make money, and does YOUR quality of life somehow NOT depend on how much money you have and how much is coming in?  It's that logic thing I have.... when i hear something that is completely removed from logic it just makes me crazy.... especially when there are multiple people parroting it.  1+1 = 2, A=A.

consumer psychology is a very interesting concept, i think these kind of studies will play a big part in the following years of what capitalism will turn into. the more awareness, the better chance us consumers won't get ripped off as much. great vid i'll definitely be subscribing!

i am going for a console which last me years n years and so far the only console i have owned is PlayStation 1,2,3 , PSP nad PS Vita and all are great , none of them have ever stooped working on me, i don't have the ps1 and ps2  any more i sold ps1 and gave ps2 to someone but those consoles never stopped working on me as long as i had it , i got a ps3 launch model and up to till today still works perfectly, so would u say i am picking a console or only buying a console that would last me for a long time, cause spending over $100 you would only want a console that would last you for a long time , i  hvent bought XBox b4 and will never not because i am a fan boy of play station like some of u call it but i have heard from many people that Xbox  has the read death of light and i do not want to invest money in a console that does that so i am choosing the console that is better for me in terms of value and that is PS4

kbaily

I think Yahtzee made the best point. It goes back to when you were a kid and your mom could only buy one console and if you didn't pick the winner, the best thing to do is go into denial about it because that's easier than admitting you were wrong.

I'm a Nintendo fan.  I'll admit it. And no I'm not all butthurt because they decided to expand their audience with the Wii instead of just make their "Dreamcast" and go third party.  I'm sorry it bugs some of you that you can't play Zelda and Smash Bros. on your system. Get over it.

But I am still of the camp that thinks the console crash is coming. It's getting too big and too bloated to sustain when Tomb Raider sells 3 million copies and is still a financial failure, there's a problem.

With all these console wars, and the video. I do understand. I was always with Nintendo, but I feel betrayed, and therefore always eventually buy the second console with Sony. I doubt it will happen again this time round however. Since N64 I always got the Nintendo console at launch (except Wii U) and this will be the first generation that I shall get the Sony console first, with a distant Wii U when the next big Nintendo game comes out, the Zelda or the Mario Galaxy 3

Console wars and fanboyism are simply stupid and it will never end because humanity is stupid and a failed species. That's so true because we need politics and religion to not kill ourselves at first glance.

I always think of consoles/games like a holiday. The console is the plane but the games are the destination. I couldn't really care less what airline I go on, as long as I get to enjoy the holiday. Ya feel me?

@warhawk-geeby Sony has more consumer friendly policies but Microsoft is more inclined towards "making money ONLY" .

nyran125tk

@warhawk-geeby @warhawk-geeby I don't think anyone should be loyal to ANY company...........................................Regardless how good or how awesome they are. Valve, im a big fan of Valve, I personally think Valves DRM business model is by FAR the best DRM model on the planet, IF theres going to be DRM. Its definitely the most user friendly DRM , I can play offline if I want, online, get cheap games from STEAM, they make great games. But even though I love Valve and its STEAM service. Should we all be completely loyal to them? They still are a DRM service at the end of the day, they still are a corporate business model. I cant just start playing my games ive paid for without the STEAM service running, despite it being awesome. what if Gabe dies and a really bad group of investers come a long and destroy everything they built up and start implementing , higher restrictions and allow share holders to dictate everything that happens all of a sudden?. It can happen. Gabes a big guy, he could die tomorrow and we could all lose this awesome service over night or at least the way it is now. it only takes a crap manager or an ex- EA employee or a guy like Mitt Romley to come a long and destroy everything hes built up.

So be wary of being to loyal to ANY company. Remember whos making all the money, its not you. Just enjoy the games that's what you should be worrying about , NOT the console. Both consoles only want $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, its the game developers that are making your experience NOT Sony OR Microsoft.

For example you cant just grab a copy of COD on the PS3 and just play with Xbox mates can you? There you have it. Both companys are restricting your freedom in some way or another and restricting game developers and players in some way or another.

@nyran125tk Nice rant! I'd add that PC fanboys can build their own custom desktop to their own specs avoiding branding and adware b$.  They can also upgrade separate components at will taking advantage of price drops.  By slowing the technical innovation in games, consoles have actually made PC's last longer between rigs.  PC games are cheap as dirt if you only buy during sales making the total cost of ownership a fraction of consoles.

@wizardboyus consumer psychology is the very thing that marketeers use to bind us to their products in the most exploitative and immoral ways.

@kbaily I agree with you i am a nintendo fan boy aswell, and that goes back to the original nes, up to the WiiU. But i also own a xbox and enjoy that to. But there is going to be a crash it is just when. And will it be when the consoles finally catch up to the PC.

warhawk-geeby
warhawk-geeby

@sgtZipper E3 was always going to be a quiet one for them in terms of games - it was more about the reveal and the 'message'.  Hopefully Gamescom and TGS will pick things up and show the features in more detail?

capper64

@Nova_Prime_85 The PC is an objectively better platform for gaming however. They're more powerful, improve more rapidly, and allow more varied control schemes, e.g can use either a keyboard and mouse or a controller for most games. That said, consoles provide an accessible, cheaper alternative with comparatively fewer things that can go wrong.

This is from someone who plays few games on PC, and no AAA new releases (my computer simply isn't powerful enough), instead using an Xbox 360. I'm probably going to go PS4 next.

BiohazardXTREME

@elegance89 But with your analogy, it's like both airlines have certain exclusive destinations. So you either have to bite the bullet and commit to one airline forever. Or pay twice as much to have all the destinations available to you.

@jedimasterss @kbaily

Why will there be a crash?  In order for that to happen that means that all the people that enjoy playing games will suddenly not want to play them anymore.... even if Sony and Microsoft and Nintendo all went under (Nintendo: maybe..... probably not the other two), the wonderful thing about capitalism is that someone else would come in and fill the void because they'd make BUCKETS of cash in doing so.  It's not as if those are the only 3 companies that are capable of making consoles... and the market is too big.  You are crazy if you think that all consoles will suddenly not exist.... where there is a demand: there will be a product.  (and i'm not talking about those Pseudo-Android-Consoles out there, I mean ones with some decent power and performance)

mariomaster16
mariomaster16

@BiohazardXTREME @elegance89 Well some airlines only go certain places, so it does sort of depend on where you want to go. If you prefer to travel to Japan then Pacific airlines has the best rates. Likewise if you like JRPGs, then Sony consoles should be your pick.

@2w-sephiroth @CaptWaffle @dmdavenport @HenryDChurch @JFERNANDEZ84What people fail to realize is that Human Nature does not change, evolve or improve. Religion is there to show us how to deal with our nature. Progressivism is also a religion but does not understand human nature. You have to look outside yourself in order to be in tune with your higher nature. Being enlightened is the exception, not the norm.

2w-sephiroth
2w-sephiroth

@CaptWaffle @2w-sephiroth @dmdavenport @HenryDChurch @JFERNANDEZ84 We are in the age that we should have the common sense to have morality, and not to abuse the system, the economy, the people or our lands. But, greed breaks the sack, and, people are careless and no one cares. We live in a care free adittude, but that will change. It has too. Religion and Politics will fade eventually.

CaptWaffle
CaptWaffle

@2w-sephiroth @dmdavenport @HenryDChurch @JFERNANDEZ84 That's one of those arguments from people that either hate or disbelieve all religions..... and no, it's not an intelligence thing.... there are plenty of VERY smart people that believe in the existence of a God.... or at least a Higher Power.  I won't get into a pissing contest, but I'm smart and have various things that would prove it.... and I don't see how there COULDN'T be some higher power due to my own questioning and trains of logic.  Some people "think" their way into being Agnostic or Atheist..... but I tend to believe they simply didn't ask the right questions.

CaptWaffle
CaptWaffle

@2w-sephiroth @dmdavenport @HenryDChurch @JFERNANDEZ84 Hate to break this to everyone: but Christianity isn't getting tons of people killed nowadays.... the only religion that has any sort of violent stigma now is Islam.  And yes, I'm aware that there are plenty of Muslims not killing people.... but point to me the Christians, Hindus, and Buddhists killing people in the name of their religions.  If you are referring to the Crusades 500-some-odd years ago; that was quite a bit more complicated then "Hey, we're Christians, lets kill everyone!"

2w-sephiroth
2w-sephiroth

@dmdavenport @HenryDChurch @JFERNANDEZ84 Its sad that I must agree, but we will learn with history, and by stepping on that stone so many times, but both politics and religion will eventually fade, unless we fade ourselves first.

BiohazardXTREME
BiohazardXTREME

@mariomaster16 @BiohazardXTREME @elegance89 But my point is that you don't have to make a gigantic down payment on any given airline, before buying their tickets, so it's not going to cost you extra to switch airlines for a single trip. (Unless certain airlines give out memberships or promotions, but even then the cost won't be gigantic.) Either way, most people who travel don't commit themselves to only one given airline. Whereas, unless gamers can afford multiple consoles, a lot of them only own one, for at least the first couple years of a given generation.
