@Legend_of_Link: Except you most likely wouldn't get Perfect Dark, Banjo or Conkers (was that what you meant to type?) as they're owned by Microsoft, and GoldenEye is caught up in Rights Hell.
@Dave1927p: "Guess its a big deal cancelling this because its a female lead"
No, it's a big deal because it's Netflix, which doesn't cancel many shows. Its CEO even made waves recently when he saed he wanted to make even riskier programming that would inevitably lead to more cancellations.
@crunkster64: I get what the article is trying to convey: the TV show and the book both feature main characters named "Sophia Amoruso," but the TV show apparently plays kind of loose with the character so this article needs to differentiate.
@saturatedbutter: "I wish someone in the AAA games industry would consider that."
Best of luck trying to find a game publisher willing to spend $120 million — the cost of "Get Down," one of Netflix's "weird things" — on a game that doesn't have the familiar to fall back on.
Picked the remastered "Arkham Asylum/City" duo up recently as part of a PSN sale, and downloaded the first just to test drive it to see how it compares with the PS3/360 version. I meant to play only 15-20 minutes, but damn if Rocksteady's gameplay didn't pull me back in for several hours.
If you're making a super hero/comic book game, there are far, FAR worse games to be influenced by than Rocksteady's.
@johno357: It's almost as if the indie developers realize that since they can't overwhelm the market with hype and marketing, they instead have to focus on making quality games.
@fomalhaut2: Wait..."Persona 5" was a big success in April, landing at No. 2 on the monthly NPD report, so you're saying it ISN'T a great game or masterpiece since it made money? Or are you just saying that you're making faulty generalizations?
@ram-tyn: This is "Most Anticipated Games of E3 2017," not "...of 2017." These are games that the Gamespot editors expect/hope to see more of over the next week.
Considering Rockstar's past, "Red Dead Redemption 2" isn't likely to be at E3. Likewise, while TLOU2 and Cyberpunk are very likely next year at the earliest, TLOU2 will almost certainly be at Sony's event this year. (Cyberpunk is a longer shot.)
