I still have a PSP 1000. It's definitely a sturdy little piece of hardware but I recently purchased a PSP Go due to the smaller form factor.

If you're not afraid to open your console (and if your console is out of warranty), you can try fixing it yourself. Open up the console, clean out any dust that may have settled in the chassis, and buy you a tube of Arctic Silver 5 or some comparable thermal compound to replace the old thermal compound that's on the RSX and Cell. Did this with my PS3 that was experiencing overheating issues and I haven't had a problem since.

Hopefully the bad reviews cause the price of the game to drop quickly so I can pick it up. The nostalgia factor alone is enough to make me want to own it; I mean... it's been vaporware for more than a decade!

Would you rather them put the store back online with no security measures in place to make sure your information is safe or be patient and wait a few more days?

I give you about 6 months or less. Definitely will break at some point.

You freaking jinxed me! My 60 Gig has just started having issues associated with overheating. Things like stretched polygons (poling), crazy texture glitching, stuttering, and a random freeze here and there. :(

I love playing games with a strong, sexy female lead.

What a load of crap. With used game sales, there is an initial influx of money to the publishers/developers while with pirating there is no money being exchanged at all. This, in turn, makes pirating worse than purchasing a used game.
