I have never bought any of the new ones, but after playing my friend's 3000, the original is my favorite. The 3000 seemed pretty fragile and too lightweight. The PSP Go looks ugly, imo. Call me old fashioned I guess. Anyone else still use the original?

i have a psp2000, and I like it a lot. The psp1000 feels alot sturdier, but alot thicker and heavier too. never seen a 3000 up close, but never considered "upgrading" to the 3000 or pspGO.

  • Had a 1000; started to love having it in white, then the screen broke and it got lost.
  • 2000; love it to death. Still playing it. No intention of getting rid of it.
  • 3000; meh. I'll pass.
  • Go; wanted one for a while, but pass on that too. Too small for my hands.

I still have my PSP 1001 series. It still works perfectly. I also have the PSP slim 3001 series. I had the PSP 2001 series Darth Vader edition. (That is the most cheaply made version) The most fragile PSP. Even the 3000 is a tad more sturdy. I like the original PSP phat 1000 series. Just because of the metal chassis. PSP 1000 is a tank.

I have the original PSP I got at launch, but the battery has lost all of it's power, so it doesn't work unless I plug it up. I bought a silver 3000 about a year ago, and I really like how much lighter it is. However, like the TC stated, it does seem much more fragile.

I have the 2000 and love it! I have no intention of abandoning it for a newer system. Especially sice my UMD would be worthless as the new system has no UMD support. This is where Sony is missin the boat. but yes, I have a 2000 and it plays great! But I wish the new system well.

Wish I did. Mine bit the dust after 2 deployments to Iraq. Got the 2000 but it's to light for me. I don't understand why people say the 1st gen was to heavy, the newer ones are to light and feel like they can break real easy.

I've still got my old launch 1000 and it works great. It doesn't get as much attention as I decided to go digital and got a Go when they were released.

I still have a PSP 1000. It's definitely a sturdy little piece of hardware but I recently purchased a PSP Go due to the smaller form factor.

I still have my PSP 1000 although the Battery has run out of power and some of the pixels have died. I also have the PSP 3003 which is what I currently use.

This. There's so much you can do with it. Can't really talk much about its functionality on these forums, though.

Well. Two years ago I traded my psp 1000 for some 360 games I wanted at the time. Big mistake. I miss the psp. So.... I am getting another psp 1000 on Craigslist. I am paying $120.00 for the psp and four games plus two memory cards.

I have the 1000 but its been through the wars, the top of the nub is gone now its just a stick which ironically sticks in the up position, the Wifi no longer works, the screen is scratched to heck and the umd sometimes needs a while to warm up before it will read a game. Im playing Persona 3 Portable right now on it and while decent i wish i had a 3000 to play it on

I still have mine sitting around somewhere, but I got a silver PSP-2000 (I think it's the 2000...?) when it released with the Daxter Pack.

I would still have it if my brother didn't break it and cause the screen ink to bleed : (

I have a 3000 now but I miss the shiny blackness of it and its sturdiness. RIP Mr. PSP 1000.
