Just preordered my Deluxe Black Version. Take that Haters :P

nini200

Ditto. I've already seen enough games that I want to justify purchase. Not to mention it's a reasonable price for a launch.

I'll say it one more time: WAIT UNTIL E3. This is NOT a confirmation. Jeez...

I have to agree. We don't know until we know, ya know? :D

What makes this so believable is what they did with the Wii. From a technical standpoint it was behind, and that left them out of the multiplat loop. That said, I still find it hard to believe that the Wii U won't at least be "on par" with both the PS3 and 360.

[QUOTE="lawlessx"]So what does this mean for mod support?Firebird-5

rev up that credit card

That's going to be the downside to this.

I'm an alpha owner, so the lack of free updates is going to suck. That said, I'm still excited. My daughter and I love playing this together, and cross platform with Kinect usability is going to be awesome.Too many positives outweighing the negatives right now.

I have a feeling many of the haters here own the console version. As with most of Valve's games, the console verison is nothing like the PC version. I'm not hating consoles, it's just the truth in Valve's case.

kraken2109

Agreed. I still have an absolute blast playing L4D2 on the 360 because of the friends I play with, but the AI director does some really strange things at times. there are some very starnge difficulty spikes even at the normal difficulty level that don't make much sense.

Yeah, the score itself seems off, but I won't judge anything untilI start playing it for myself tonight. I was fortunate enough to be able to suspend my BoS edition purchase until I had the chance to borrow the gameand play it.

I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I'm just coming off a really good game like inFamous 2, so I'll be able to see it for all its faults. It won't matter if it's Duke or not. :D

Havent been screwed yet so I think I will stick to my system of seeing gameplay and then asking myself does that look fun and do I want to spend 60 bucks on it.

Fizzman

Hey, knock yourself out. It's your money, and if you're able to feel the game without actually holding the controller in your hands then all the more power to ya.

It looks rough, I am surprised, weren't ND helping out with graphics or was that another game?SaltyMeatballs

inFamous 2 is probably the one you're thinking of, and man does it show when you play the game.

Umm yeah. The game looks boring and I dont want to play it. If you dont want a play a game from looking at a gameplay trailer then they failed.

I could tell Homefront had garbage gameplay from videos and how did that turn out?

Fizzman

Relying on video, whether it makes the game look good or bad, is a good way to screw yourself in my opinion. Either you end up getting excited over a game that sucks, or passing over some good games. It it the law and true in every case? Of course not, but I've learned that looking at anything other than actual gameplay is deceiving.

Gameplay looked awful too from the video. Fancy graphics aint gonna make it fun.

Fizzman

Because watching a video clip and playing the game are completely the same thing, right?

And I really don't think the game is going to look like those crappy shots taken from a demo that was shoved out the door quickly to be released with a movie.

I think a lot of this is about how the lems acted like this game was a failure outside of GS, i saw someone saying Sony will be embaressed and never speak of InFamous 2 again. There's probably a bit of rage buidling up in the cows since a lot of PS3 exclusives seem to score lower here than else where but 360 exclusives seem to score higher here (someone had a spreadsheet or something and it averaged at like 0.4 over scored on 360 and PS3 was somewhere in the negatives).

hoosier7

It's also easier to fly off the handle when it's generally agreed on that the game deserved a better score. I'm interested to play this one for myself and form my own opinions, but I was certainly impressed by the demo. Most of my friends who are playing it absolutely love it, so something tells me GS is off-base in this case.

Funny, somehow I get the feeling this would be as big a deal if GS had just scored it half a point higher (8.0).
