Exactly. When I get home tonight and am playing the game, I'll be thinking "Oh hellz ya. This Lightning Hook, Electrocution Grenade , Kessler Skin, and 24K Gold Amp weapon variant are so cool!" I wont be sitting around thinking about the score GS gave it. I won't care what score they gave it either.
I mean the fact that developers like R* and Team Bondi have said DVD is making things tougher for them and content was cut should be concern enough, I don't get why people try to sweep this under the rug.
Whether it's the main reason or not, I'm sure there were a number of cases where content was stripped because of disc space. If memory serves Id confirmed that MS was charging a licensing fee per disc for any games released on the console. Developers and publishers being charged more to provide more content...what a load of garbage.
After all my time with the original Quake MP took a back seat for me. But this generation's focus on cooperative multiplayer has definitely brought me back online. Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, Borderlands, and DCUO are all great examples of games I really enjoy.
Ghost Recon on rails, confirmed. If not, we're talking old voice recog tech that we saw last gen, neat.TruthBToldShow
On rails? Impossible unless they've figured out a way for you to actually shoot...and seeing as kinect can't read fingers yet (if ever) I'm not too worried.
Voice recognition has a come a long way since last gen as well.
Sorry mate, but I'm not old-fashioned that stick with the "same old same old". I like moving on to new things and not get stuck in the past (gamepads for example). I mean look on how the controllers for Nintendo advanced from the SNES to the Wii then look at Sony's (from Ps1 till now)LastRambo341
Many of us are for something new, as long as it works on a consistent basis. Motion controls do not. Quite often they misread the direction you're swinging your sword, or translate that you're trying to sharply turn the wheel of your go-cart into actually turning the opposite direction (to give a couple examples).
When I can rely on its accuracy I'll be all for it. Until then, no thanks.
That said, some definite strides were made this gen. Hopefully by next gen they'll have it all down pat. Nothing wrong with more ways to play.
