To me, outside of the online play and psn store...lowkey254

...and the cloud saves and the automatic updates and the fact that you actually get free stuff if you use their paid service.

The fact is that they both have their strengths and weaknesses. Live's overall integration is way better, but PSN doesn't force you to pay to play online and offers a lot more goodies with their paid service. In terms of how the games play online, they're on par with each other.

As much as I would love to see a sequel, I have to agree that we probably won't see anything real soon. It looks like Rockstar is trying to move into new territories with their tech and what eras the games take place in. Even Max Payne is going to the jungle.

The only expception looks like GTA V, but that's to be expected.

Valve easily.

Especially seeing as they have openly encouraged their modding community to the point where we see great games like Gmod and Portal come as a result, and they provide extra content for their games for free.

Does Nintendo do that? Nope.

 I knew it. Three disks, lesser content, and visually inferior; should have stayed exclusive.

Well I was right about the install being small.

CaseyWegner

Yeah I agree, I'm going with Ps3 as well. Good to see the install is small too. I'd definitely take a gig install over 3 discs.

even though it'll take longer? :?

How does a 1 gig install take longer than installing all 3 discs? Or do you have to do 1 gig installs multiple times?

Derp, and I thought parents taught their kids how to read when they were about 5-6 years old...

Mograine

Yeah, me too. I know my parents did.

So you mean all those people downloading pirated copies of a game, without any money going into circulation, aren't "taking" away from stores, publishers, and devlopers? Sounds like theft to me.

[QUOTE="Kickinurass"] How is piracy not stealing?

Mograine

Ask yourself the same question without writing a "not" in it.

"How is piracy stealing?"

Making illegal copies of a program and distributing them is stealing.

...that was a short walk.

So your saying that once Kinect came out, it became the #1 Casual Hardware and is making Microsoft loads of money. And since Microsoft see's Kinect as a cash cow, they are going to make it their #1 priority, ignoring their original core audience? Why yes, yes they are.

VensInferno

Lol...Nicrosoft. :D

Really, the big difference is that MS plays well with third-parties, so 360-exclusive gamers still have a lot to play.

More discs = more content.

Not when a Blu-Ray disc holds over 6X the data that a DVD can...

...if memory serves.

One of the big reasons that publishers don't come down harder on companies like Gamestop is because if you squash the used game market, you shrink the new game market. People take the store credits they earn from trade-ins towards new games, and take the money they save on used games to put towards things like other new titles and DLC.

Whether it's directly or indirectly, publishers and devlopers see that money. Never mind the fact that used games are like crap control: If I buy a game and it isn't good, I can go trade it in and cost them a sale. If it's a good game, I'll probably keep it and it's a sale they won't lose.

If we were talking about a good game, or at least a game someone cared about, this would be a different story.
