Looks like they were trying to develop a new IP but then Rockstar realized it won't sell that much so slapped they Max Payne 3 name on it. Quite sad

My install of Mass Effect only took a few minutes on Vista Home Premium. Though mine wasn't on DVD but a digital download from EA Store. May be your DVD is damaged or something

Have you tried running it in compatibility mode? You should try checking off the "run in 640 by 480 res" option

Guys, Guys you are not getting the true picture here. It's all symbolism. Max's new butcher/serial killer like appearance is supposed to symbolize the fact that Rockstar have butchered/killed the Max Payne franchise. The clever bunch they are

None of the games you own for the PC will work on the Mac. Only very few games have been released for the Mac (that are available on PC) but those you have to buy separately because Mac uses a different installer. A solution would be to install windows xp on your mac using boot camp that cames with mac. Then you will have best of both worlds
