That's my girl. :) All you guys saying its disrespectful--isn't it also disrespectful to force the issue? Marriage should be based on give and take and mutual decisions. And no, an engagement ring isn't an adequate excuse (personally I don't even want a big one, just something simple although I know I'm in the minority :P). Don't forget that the wife will potentially be bearing your children, and that is a whole hell of a lot more trouble than buying a ring. And you want your kid to have your last name? I'd like to see you get pregnant before you insist it's just yours. :P
Each couple would have to make this decision for themselves, there is no right or wrong. I imagine I'd be ok with it though, depending on the reasoning. If it's just social for fun to hang out with guys, ok, go ahead. If you're going alone... why am I dating you?

You can find good recipes for this online and honestly it's not as hard as I expected! This is from a Southerner who has grown up on fried everything, I expected Thai/Indian to be really out of my league. I'd recommend buying curry paste to start with and only make your own when you're feeling super ambitious or have had more practice. Great thing with curry is that it's nigh impossible to mess up; you can add more sugar or spice or curry powder infinitely until you get the right balance. Very mutable too, once you get down the basics, changing up the meat and vegetable combinations is very easy :D
Love to cook! Cornbread from scratch is my specialty. :) I make good red beans and rice... basically typical southern food I'm good at. I also enjoy making curry when I feel fancy. :P Another favorite? Spaghetti tacos. :D

If marriage were a purely religious institution then married couples would have no legal benefits from said status. That is not the case. Anyway, what a beautiful and historic moment. Way to go New York!
And WHOA Dreamworks haterz, did we not watch How To Train Your Dragon?! The Kung Fu Panda movies are great too, imo. Not in the same category as something dramatic like Up, but they're great action/comedy movies.
