The Switch is great as a console itself (aside from the online being paid, and Nintendo regressing back to Friend Codes. That's just sad), but in terms of its own exclusives, it's still very weak. I've enjoyed playing a number of games on the Switch... Only one of which is actually exclusive to the Switch (Super Mario Odyssey) and it is the game that has lasted me the least longest.

Hopefully on down the line the Switch will really make a name for itself. I'm really hoping that Animal Crossing and Pokemon 2019 are top-notch entries to their franchises. That could really tip me in favor of the Switch. (Pokemon really needs it, too. The recent games were disappointing, and the ones coming out in November? We don't talk about those.)

The Wii was really not good, IMO. Following the amazing games on the N64 and GCN, the Wii just couldn't keep up. Additionally, the forced motion controls made the system a big pain in the rear. Motion controls are just gimmickry, and the Wii not even allowing you to get past the menu without using the Wii Remote's motion control was really bad.

The Wii was easily Nintendo's lowest point. I couldn't care less if it sold well. I couldn't care less that the Wii U tanked financially. The Wii U was a better console in every single way.

I only really have one purchase I regret, and oddly enough it's not the games I consider the most disappointing (Animal Crossing City Folk, Paper Mario Sticker Star, etc.), it's... Ocarina of Time 3D. It was back in 2011 when I had very little spending money since I didn't have a job. I thought "An Ocarina of Time remake? Should be great!". However, the game was so unbelievably conservative that it felt like a remastered port with retexturing. I was so disappointed that I spent what little spending money I had on the game. Such a waste of money.

No. If I want classic Playstation games, I'll get them through the Playstation store or somewhere else on a console I currently own. The last thing I need is more systems hooked up. I have enough hooked up as it is (Wii U, PS4, PS3, Switch).

These "classic" systems are just novelty items in my eyes. They don't do anything of value for me personally. But as long as PS allows these games to be purchased on their mainline systems then I really don't care one way or another. Nintendo, however, is being really stingy now and Virtual Console is no longer even a thing on the Switch and that is so ridiculously bad I can't even start. I don't know that Nintendo's line of "Mini" systems is really to blame, but it certainly does tick me off.

I'm not okay with paying for online. Once I found out I had to on PS4, I was pretty ticked off and haven't paid a cent. I'm also really ticked off at Nintendo for trying to make us pay for their shoddy online services. Console companies are being very greedy about this. There's no reason to make us pay for the online.

Definitely consoles for me. PC is a great platform for The Sims, my favorite gaming franchise. However, there's really nothing else on PC for me, and overall it's just too complicated and pricey for me. Consoles are simple, and play every single other franchise I love. Even though I love The Sims, from my general gaming perspective there is just no contest here.

Initially it was mainly LGBT rights. I saw absolutely no reason why same-sex marriage shouldn't be legalized and it really drove me against the Republicans pretty hard because they were just...wrong, and harming people. Later, I realized that harm extended far beyond LGBT people. Of course, that's extremely obvious nowadays. I also became a strong proponent of church-state separation, and thus want churches far away from the government. Same-sex marriage was the building block of that, but it extends far beyond that. I also accept science. Valuing public education is also important. Among other things.

Ultimately I came to realize that Republicans are against everything I am. Not just believe, but intrinsically am. Democrats aren't perfect, but I sure as heck am not voting for a party that is all about taking away my rights, and the rights of other groups as well. I was raised with a strong conviction against sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, religious discrimination (even if I despise the religions themselves, which I do), so to be quite blunt, the Republican party isn't even on the table in my mind.

First generation Pokemon games. They aged extremely poorly. Just going back to the PC box system with all of the loading is nauseating. Also, I never want to play a Pokemon game with only the original 151 ever again. That includes LGP/E, yes.

For me, Golden Sun. That's the only franchise that has been missing for some time that I care about. I would also like to see Paper Mario return to its N64/GCN style. But I don't think that counts for this topic since the franchise is still alive, just without its soul.

Kingdom Hearts III.

Hopefully Pokemon Switch will follow it. But right now I'm having a hard time getting hyped for something I know nothing about, especially following the hype-killing LGP/E games being a reality.
