Seeing Switch's very positive praise on SW i'm curious. Is Switch Nintendo's best gaming console ? or Wii or N 64 still remains best?
Well?

Well?
Switch right now is tied for my all time favorite wintendo console.
1. SNES-Switch
2. N64
3. Wii U
4. Wii
5. NES
(Never played gamecube)
It’s one of the worst to be honest.
The Wii u is one of Nintendo’s worst consoles of all time. The switch is just a slightly better Wii u.
Same games as the Wii u and then they have Mario odyssey. So there is nothing to really praise the system for. 3rd parties are still non existent or straight up terrible. Online is still bad. Voice chat is a pain. Still no trophy/achievement system. Constantly behind Sony and Microsoft by 20 years.
But hey, some people like playing Wii u ports so all the power to them I guess. lol

3rd party is easily best since the Gamecube
I don't think so- not yet atleast. The portability is great, it's got a few dozen really good games, but time will tell if its library is overall better than Nintendo's previous best. Here's my current ranking:
1. Gamecube
2. SNES
3. N64
4. GBA
5. Switch
6. DS
7. 3DS
8. Wii
9. WiiU
10. NES
11. GB/GBC
12. Virtual Boy
I'd rank it over the Wii U for the novelty and that's it. As far as the library goes, I consider it even worse atm.
It's up there, but I think GameCube is my favorite
Switch needs a good Zelda game (yes I don't think BotW is good nor is it Zelda). Switch is great because of all the ports (indies and WiiU games). Also Golf Story and Mario Odyssey are great.
SNES was good for JRPGs.
N64 was good for 3D platformers.
@ajstyles: Almost nothing that you posted is true. How can you be this off? The only point you have is the lack of achievement system. And boy is that a stupid complaint...

Not a bad list dude, I mean that would roughly be it.
Would say the Gameboy/C or DS/3DS.
The NES itself never really impressed me outside of Super Mario 3. Had a bigger library than Master System, but I don't think the game quality was as good.
Hell no. SNES and NES will never be passed.
Sega genesis/mega drive was better back in days.

Please refresh my memory okay?
What games was Sega known for again?
sonic was better than mario back than.
street fighter 2 is still best fighting game ever.
earthworm jim was excellent.
street of rage was pretty good too.
and etc
I never liked NES or SNES. even when i was a kid i hated mario and donkey kong games. and i used to laugh at duck hunt games. i thought they were lame rail shooting gimmick. waste of time.
What I love about the switch is the portability aspect. The ability to play away from the tv then hook it up and continue is a massive plus for me. They are getting a fair amount of 3rd party games which is nice.

Ha fair enough.
Personally I think Mario is better than Sonic
Street Fighter 2 is also on SNES.
You would find many games like earthworm jim also on SNES. Edit: Hell Earthworm Jim was for SNES!
And Streets of Rage is good but really if you like Streets of Rage, I would recommend Batman Returns.... on SNES.

Genesis Street fighter 2 was vastly superior.
The SNES is probably my all time favourite console, so many favourite games of mine were on the system. Some are:
- Chrono Trigger
- Final Fantasy III
- Super Castlevania IV
- Contra III: The Alien Wars
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time
- Sparkster
- Mega Man X
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
- Final Fight
- Super Metroid
- Super Mario World
Those are just a few. So many fantastic games on the system.
1 - Gamecube - My favourite Nintendo console, has a lot to do with being around 15 and gaming a lot when it was released, The Resident Evil remake blew me way, Resident Evil 0 & 4 were pretty cool and there was the ports of 2 & 3, if you liked Resident Evil this was the console.
Windwaker is probably my favourite Zelda, and the Gamecube has the best version of Twilight Princess.
2. SNES - Has some of the best games of all time including greatest CastleVania game in Super CastleVania IV. Final Fantasy V-VI, Chrono Trigger, Legend of Mana, Mario All Stars/World, Donkey Kong Country games, Megaman X the list goes on awesome library of games,.
Not played enough of other Nintendo consoles to have an opinion, was put off by N64 because the contoller, same goes for Wii.
It's definitely one of my favorite consoles of all times, but it's a bit too young to say something decisive for now. Its concept is definitely the very best for me but as it stands now my favorite Nintendo consoles are still SNES, GBA and GC.
I've only played a little of the Switch, but it'd have to be pretty awesome to beat Gamecube in my eyes.
I've only ever owned 1 Nintendo console (played a few of them though) in the N64 and love it, so i'll go with that.
Both my boys own Nintendo products as i bought them a 3DS XL & 2DS XL, but i've never played them as when i'm out i don't play games.
Was considering a Switch for my eldest as his 3DS is getting old, but its not worth the asking price here in Australia.
I totally forgot to answer this thread lol. I'm going with SNES as it was my first ever gaming console & Nintendo's console at the same time back in 1993. Nothing and I mean nothing will ever surpass SNES, not even the almighty Nintendo Switch doesn't even come close to how awesome SNES really was. SNES is the true answer!

I know we've had our differences, but I just wanted to say, if you see a huge Nintendo Switch sell, buy it without a second thought. You're kids will love it :)
SNES holds that title as far as I'm concerned. The Switch is still pretty new but it's off to a great start. Being Nintendo's #2 console is still great.
GameCube and N64 is still my favorite. Though it's up there.

Um, Street Fighter II was more positively received on SNES if I recall.
I'd say maybe 4th, but doubt I'd rate it Top 3....NES and SNES were exceptionally good, but I think I'd pick something from N64/NGC/Wii before I pick Switch...assuming I even consider it a console.
Not counting the handhelds...
1. Snes
2.GameCube
3.N64
4.Switch
5. The rest...
It could have passed N64 if Mario tennis and Mario party were better than what we got on Switch. The games feel soulless on Switch.
If the Switch gets a good Paper Mario game then maybe. Having an Advanced Wars, F- zero, and a sequel to Pandoras Tower would also help. :P
