Out of all of these games I have only played Assassin's Creed Odyssey and I loved it, so there's that.

If it isn't even open world, that would be a major disappointment. The old Zeldas were great in their time, but now linear, walled in games feel archaic.
I would probably be forced to lose interest in gaming since it would become too expensive and because gaming and building a system would become much more complicated than I care for. I like getting a prebuilt device for which developers fit games around, instead of the specs of my system needing to match a game falling on me.
I'll get it on the PS4. It's very simple. Although the original FFVII may have finally released on other systems, it took like twenty two years for that to happen.
There's hardly anything on the PC that I'm even interested in playing, so it's pretty obvious I'll stick with consoles. Pretty graphics are nice, but they really don't matter much if I don't care about the games to begin with.
Paper Mario - The first two games were so great. What happened?
The Sims - 1-3 were great. 3 certainly had issues, but at least it added large game-changing features like story progression and the open world, justifying it as a meaningful new experience from The Sims 2. Meanwhile The Sims 4... It added nothing large of consequence, and in fact regressed from the open world/story progression of The Sims 3. In fact, it has regressed from The Sims 2 in some ways. The neighborhoods are like The Sims 1, with set lots. You can't customize anything. It's really bad.
Pokemon - I fear that Pokemon is losing its way. S/M/US/UM were very disappointing, frustrating games. And then GF decides to start up the completely unnecessary and cheaply made Lets Go games. Sword/Shield might look okay, but are under the same director as S/M/US/UM, so I'm really not too hopeful for the franchise at this point. I'll give S/S a chance pretty much solely because they chose a European-inspired region that isn't tropical.
Gotta give this one to Sony. I have enjoyed so many more titles on the PS4 than I could have imagined when I got it a few years back.
Super Mario Odyssey really has little competition in terms of exclusives, if you ask me. Breath of the Wild is amazing, but it is, as OP said, a Wii U game.
Final Fantasy VII. I've never played the game before, so that's nice. I needed something on my Switch, since I've been playing PS4 solid for a long time (aside from SSBU, which I played for only a very short time).
