I can't recommend the Switch to you. Even for me, a longtime Nintendo fan, this system isn't doing a lot for me at this point.

I mean, the thing that draws me to the series are the historical locations, so an AC set in the current day would have no appeal whatsoever to me. But to each their own, I suppose.
Certainly I am happy I have a PS4. It is the machine that has gotten the most gaming out of me in the last year. The Switch got some, too, but really needs more games.
I don't want more systems. I just want Nintendo to release their library on the Switch, and not behind the god awful Nintendo Switch Online service.
I can only hook up so many systems to my TV. Right now that's only the PS4 and Switch. I don't need more systems. Especially when the solution to have them all on one system is so darn simple.
$60 for a 6 year old port..Ridiculous.
$60 for a quality game that is fun and has good replay value. Not so ridiculous.
Ah yes. Such great replay value that when I got this game for free with my Wii U I couldn't even get through it the first time. Even Pokemon LGP/E has more value than this, and that game most certainly shouldn't have been even half of $60 either.
@jeezers: As I stated, Nintendo has already proven that they're all about making RNG microtransaction games on the mobile platform, so your thinking is very unrealistic wishful thinking at this point.
@kali-b1rd:Yup, if Nintendo exited out of the console market and went purely mobile, that would be the end. The mobile market is all about RNG microtransactions for absurdly ridiculous prices. There are people out there who spend their entire paychecks on that nonsense. Underneath the RNG microtransactions (which will try their hardest to sucker people in) these games are just limited "lite" versions of the games from their own series found on consoles. Not only Fire Emblem, but Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is exactly the same. These would not be good games, even without the RNG microtransactions.
Nevertheless, the RNG microtransactions makes these games very toxic. If Nintendo seeks out this market, they're throwing us all under the bus for horrible gambling schemes.
People like to talk about how good Nintendo is versus other video game companies, how they have more integrity, but that is utter bull. Anyone who has played FE or AC:PC know that Nintendo is doing the exact same crappy RNG microtransaction crap that other companies are doing.
Nah, the only series I play on PC is The Sims series. And I only play it on PC because of the custom content and modding community. I have no interest in gaming on the PC beyond that. I prefer the simplicity of consoles. I just buy a console, buy games designated for it, and don't have to worry about the specs of my machine being up to snuff to play those games the way they should be played (I have had horrible experiences with that point with PC).
I'm not obsessed with high FPS or resolution or anything like that so the PC's higher potential for power and everything doesn't really mean anything to me. If it weren't for The Sims, I wouldn't play anything on PC at all.
