Microtransactions, especially ones with RNG mechanisms. There is nothing that can contend with that level of greed.

Kingdom Hearts III (I already knew I wanted this game, but they really brought up my excitement level here, especially with that PotC world, which is just gorgeous.)

Super Smash Bros Ultimate (it really doesn't look too ambitious, but at least it is a new game and not yet another Wii U port)

I also might be interested in trying Assassin's Creed Odyssey. I've never played any game in the series before, but am interested in it because of the setting. I'm not really one for violence, though, so that does turn me off.

Despite my username (which, I'll note is 14 years old), definitely Zelda.

A prime example of this is Breath of the Wild versus Super Mario Odyssey. Both are, in my eyes, fantastic examples of each franchise. However, Breath of the Wild was a complete and total blast to play for me and instantly made it among the top of my favorite games, whereas Super Mario Odyssey was fun, but didn't give me anywhere near the feeling I had playing BOTW.

I will say probably the reason I chose this username in the first place was the Paper Mario series, which was just Paper Mario 64 at that point (TTYD was about to be released later that year). Paper Mario 64 has long been established as one of my top favorite games. TTYD was also fantastic. Sadly the series has gone downhill massively, which makes the answer of Zelda vs Mario very easy for me nowadays.

I listen to a lot of classical and early music, which is very commonly in Latin, French, German, or Italian instead of English.

I'm not buying that this is a confirmation of anything. I'm in the "SSB Switch is a new game" camp for many reasons, but this doesn't really go any further to confirm it than any information we've gotten before, I'm afraid.

  1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  2. Animal Crossing New Leaf
  3. Pokemon Black/White
  4. Pokemon X/Y
  5. Pokemon Black 2/White 2
  6. Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire
  7. Mario Kart 8
  8. Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance
  9. Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice
  10. Super Mario Odyssey

Really wanted to put The Sims 3, but technically it was released in 2009. The bulk of its EPs and other content were released in the 2010s, but I suppose it still doesn't count.

@jun_aka_pekto: Well, if it gets too warm for me, legitimately hot even, in the summer than that's fine by me. Summer is supposed to be hot. However, the problem I have is that where I live it can get hot (and that's not even by my odd standards) all year around. It can get up into the 80s any day of the year, including during winter. And say we do get a lucky winter where it stays cooler (this winter was like that IIRC, thank goodness), it really doesn't stop regularly hitting the 80s until mid-October, even into November, and the 80s are regularly back in April, if not February or March.

I think I'd be a heck of a lot happier in the Northeast. I can understand 80s in the summer. I can not understand them on Christmas.

@littleangrydog: Canada certainly sounds nice with the current political climate in the US, but moving to another country is not so simple. At least in the Northeast US, I wouldn't be stuck in the middle of the Bible Belt in a state that every single county has gone Red for the last several elections, including the most recent one which is just the most unforgivable for me.

My post wasn't about political climate, though, sorry. Lol. Certainly I would like Canada weather climate-wise, too!

@jun_aka_pekto: For me, probably closer to the coast of the Northeast US. I'm sick to death of the overbearing summers where I live. I also have an incredibly low tolerance to heat nowadays. Any sign of the sun without wind in the mid 50s F and above and it's just too much for me. I should probably get that checked. lol

It looks like a beautiful vacation destination, but for living I need to be somewhere with a cooler climate.

Depends... Are these ports functioning solely as ports to lead up to a new game in the franchise, or are they just quick cash-ins that are potentially detrimental to the release of an actual sequel on the system?

If it's the former (Bayonetta being an obvious example) then I'm fine with that... If it's the latter, then no, I am. A lot of people are talking like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a hypothetical Super Smash Bros. for Wii U port (which I sincerely hope doesn't actually happen) are to be the Switch's installments of those games and that's really saddening.
