Do you need to play the fatal frames in order or it doesn't matter which order i play them in?DJ_Headshot

They do follow each other but aren't really stong enough to hurt the future games. If you pick up 2 or 3 it won't matter that much.

It's not Metal Gear.

The game itself? Not really. But the mods for it? Definitly among most influential. I wouldn't say the most, because while there's plenty of DOTA clones there are far more clones (like 300-500 times more and no, I'm not joking) of something like Mystery Case Files.

Only 10 or so are fun though.

Halo or Gears (Change it to RE4 if you want) was much more influential.

3DS - 3.6 million

DS - 2.84 million

Unless you don't know math, 3.6 is greater than 2.84. How can that be not stellar for a successor to the successful DS?

lordlors

That's very true but there is one big difference. The DS brand is now a gigantic name in gaming. The first DS was, well, the first DS. It hadn't created a name for itself yet. Sure, it was a Nintendo handheld but it was advertised as something completely different from the Gameboy.

3.6 mil aren't bad numbers at all. That still doesn't change the fact the industry expected more from the sequel of the second highest system last gen.

It's simply too early to analyse it's future right now. We have to wait a year or two to see how the trends are turning.

I actually prefer C2 and C:Warhead to Crysis. Huge open world is only fun if they put stuff in it. It wasn't like the sequels were terrible linear either, they are pretty open IMO.

;_; you missed the point

80% of the games from Sony are like that, 20% from Nintendo.

Resistance, Uncharted, GoW... all these games are identical rehashes with no change in gameplay.

@ the Wii vs PS3 thing. My point was: don't blame Nintendo for the lack of games on Wii because they've delivered lots and lots of 1st party content.

Blame Wii. Not Nintendo. Wii sucks, Nintendo was still alright (;p)

SuperFlakeman

Did you really just call the majority of Sony's games identical rehashes but Nintendo's aren't? What planet do you live on?

Yeah stuff like Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, New Super Mario bros, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Wii sports, Donkey Kong Country, Punch Out, Zelda and Wario Land are different from each other but that point kind of failes when you realise that they have developed a ton of games in these franchises.

Um, Sony is also delivering lots and lots of games.

CoD:MW on DS:

"8.0 Gameplay The controls aren't for everyone, but they do indeed work. A good mix of game elements keep the experience from growing stale too quickly."

http://ds.ign.com/articles/104/1043815p1.html

SuperFlakeman

Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror 8.8

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow 8.5

Resistance Retribution 8.5

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker 9.0

See, the PSP also have fantastic shooters yet that hasn't stopped a ton of Nintendo fan from bashing the system and called the controls poor.

Nintendo is 1 company.

Count all the games they have developed and published this gen, and you'll see that no other company even comes close.

Wii library or 3DS library being weak doesn't change the fact that the still deliver games.

Which hyped games? Kid Icarus? Touch screen controlled game. Steel Diver? Touch / Gyro. Nintendogs? Touch

Stop saying Wii = Nintendo or 3DS = Nintendo. Instead compare Nintendo vs MS or Nintendo vs Sony. Not Wii vs PS3.

SuperFlakeman

?

So your telling me that it's wrong to compare the 3DS to PSP or NGP and Wii to PS3 or 360? That I should only compare the entirely of Nintendo Vs the entirely of Sony or MS?

That's laughable.

This does not change the fact that the 3DS more or less only have console games that is hyped for it.

Bash the PSP and GoW all you want do not turn and praise the 3DS or Ocarina of Time or RE: Mercenaries. You look like a gigantic hypocrit when you do.
