Great! Titles that belong on home consoles instead of handhelds! I can't wait to get made fun of for having two analog sticks poking out of my pocket, then again the NGP won't fit in anyone but MC Hammer's pockets.

Look, I'm sure these games will be amusing. I'm sure they will be good. And people will buy them, initially.

But we saw, over time PSP titles, especially those that mirrored their console counterparts (like GTAs) dropped off significantly in sales after people got over the "wow I can play this on a handheld!" factor.

It comes down to terrific portable concepts and separation of IPs.

No Smash Bros on handhelds, no Pokemon RPG on consoles. Sony really needs to learn this.

I was sick and tried of PS2 ports, now I'm going to be annoyed by PS3 ports on a handheld.

The PSP had awesome quirky titles like Loco Roco, Patapon, Prinny, etc. Stuff you wouldn't see on the PS3. Establish an identity Sony. Your console only does everything so why should we fork out potentially another $50-$100 more than a PS3 for something that we can't take everywhere with us unless we are students or have purses that is trying to be a PS3, but will inevitably fail at being a PS3.

Wow, you most hate the 3DS.

No it's not,

It simply suffers from the "this is good enough, we don't need to do it modern" curse that many Japanese games have had this gen.

I rarely trust PC Gamer's reivews of a former PC franchise going to consoles. They tend to bash those a hell of a lot more.

So the Wii 2 has to be like PS3 and 360...the second and third place competition that the Wii beat handily already, in order to "be taken seriously"? :?

Bigboi500

Kind of.

Especially for third party devs which is basically everything this gen.

Bioshock.

Playing through the hardest difficulty without using Vita-chambers really made that game interesting.

PC games are rapidly becoming more expensive though. More and more big titles are $60 and prices on places like steam or D2D are staying high for much longer than most console games. PC retail games are much much cheaper than digital version and they are going away fast.

The only times when PC games are actually cheaper is either at launch when it's $50 compared to $60 or when steam has a sale on a game. Outside of that I've found PC games to be more expensive than console games.

PC games can be much cheaper than console games but ironically it also takes away the choice of game I can buy.
