Fatal Frame actually got a reprint (the entire series) a year or so ago for GameQuestDirect.Com for the PS2. Atlus also did a "stealth" reprint for Digital Devil Saga 1 a few years back. They mentioned nothing about it until fans started seeing people ordering from Gamestop.com getting new copies and then they confirmed it was a reprint. So this being a reprint for Fatal Frame isn't out of the question since it was reprinted not too long along for another store.

They do follow each other but aren't really stong enough to hurt the future games. If you pick up 2 or 3 it won't matter that much.

GameQuestDirect has been doing reprints for "rare" games for years.

GameStop just gets the leftovers from the reprints that GQD handles.

Sometimes reprints result in NON-shrinkwrapped games.

Just got Fatal Frame 3 and yup does look like a reprint. It looks so new.
