@kentray1985: My personal bias has no bearing on reality. And the reality is that I saw very few PS4s and WiiU Splatoon bundles on shelves but plenty of Xbones.
Also my bias is based on the fact that MS has messed up the Xbox One every step of the way. First the initial announcement was a train wreck. Then they got this snooty attitude that they know better what you want in a console than you do. Then they magically changed all this stuff they said was impossible to change with Xbox One, like no Kinect. And to top it all off because they focused so much on multimedia and the Kinect during R&D, the console has weaker performance than its main competitor on like 80% of games. That last 20% being Xbox One exclusives.
I loved my 360. Still do. But Microsoft shat on my face then tried to tell me it's chocolate with the Xbone.
@sladakrobot: Actually I wasn't window shopping. I was specifically looking for deals on videogames (there was jack all), deals on Nerf blasters (or Boomco blasters because I want that Needler replica but not for 40 dollars), and deals on Funco/Pop figures and mystery boxes. Was with my cousin because I had to take him to work and he also was looking for stuff. We hit three major commercial districts in and around Pittsburgh. Black Friday as a whole was shit this year.
@kentray1985: Love to see these sold out Xbones. I went to two Walmarts, two Targets, a Toys R Us, two Gamestops, and two Kmarts today. All of them still had a pile of Xbones, BIGGER piles of WiiUs (all the Splatoon/Super Smash bundles were gone though), and pretty much like one or two PS4s a piece. Reports coming from retail workers that at least in stores the PS4 and WiiU (once again just the Splatoon/Smash bundle) are killing it for Black Friday. The top 15 sellers on Amazon for video games are as follows:
1. PS4 Uncharted Bundle
2. Dualshock controller
3. Xbox One controller
4. Xbox One Gears Bundle
5. Just Dance for the Wii (wait...WHAT? Do people think this is a WiiU game or something?)
@kentray1985: Except they totally do. More PS4s in the wild means more server load. On top of that you have people downloading games because of the Black Friday PSN sales. This puts MORE load on the servers. Are you ten or something and just haven't been around long enough to remember the last ten or so years of holiday problems that the big names have with servers? It happens EVERY YEAR. Happens to Xbox. Happens to Playstation. Even happens to Valve.
@Dark_sageX: OR people who bought it are like me and have friends who also have the game and we all like it. It's not a bad game. Yeah boohoo no single player, but the visuals and sound are great, the guns all have a niche they fit in, the flying is good, and the firefights around capture points can be intense.
I have Battlefronts II on my Xbox. The ONLY differences are no class system, no space battles, and no single player. The single player in Battlefronts II wasn't anything groundbreaking. It was just multiplayer maps with a cutscene between battles.
Also like to know how where you heard that the map packs are just one map each. Battle of Jakku only has one map because it's free and is a tie-in with Force Awakens. The rest are getting, as per DICE usual, four maps each.
@bobafetthatesu: Blood Dragon is great, though. Also they have to get authorisation from the publishers to make a game free for the month. The main issue for the PS4 Plus free games is that they're all fairly new and publishers aren't exactly excited about just giving them away yet. You'll notice that the big free games on PS4 thus far have all been games published by Playstation.
@drysprocket: Or it's because Fallout 4 came out only a week prior and Black Ops 3 the week before that. It was three weeks in a row with BIG titles coming out. And Battlefront was the third.
I find it hard to believe that these people experiencing "a lot of bugs" are telling the truth. I'm on PS4. I've played average 8 hours a day since release (some days 10). Two notable bugs and ONE crash. The bugs are the game stall bug when you try to start a second character, which was easily solved by exiting the game and coming back, and I'm having a bug on one character where the game tells me I have the resources to build things when I in fact don't and have to gather more. Both are merely inconveniences. Nothing game breaking.
@ghost140: Keep in mind the remaster may not come state side. This is Japan-only for now and PC gaming is a TINY section of the Japanese home games market. Most everyone there is either on mobile or on consoles. This explosion of Japanese classics on PC is driven almost entirely by western gamers.
@MaddenBowler10: Go watch framerate analysis. PC is based on your hardware, PS4 is 25-30, X1 is 20-30 with more frequent drops than PS4. Also I shit you not the X1 version hit 2 at points. No. That's not a typo. 2 fps. The game practically froze for about half a second at what seemed like random points.
