@thespicychiken: Yes. Like how mounted combat and kinect support were patched into Skyrim.

I've preordered Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition. But this is where I draw the line. It's one thing to preorder a game you know is coming and that you know what it will be like and you know you'll buy it anyway so why not. It's another thing entirely to preorder DLC that isn't even in development yet and not even the creators know what it will be like.

But if someone else wants to, then let em fly. I'm sure many people out there will buy it. It's their money. They do with it as they please. I'm not. I'll buy the DLC as it comes out so I don't pay for stuff I don't like.

@spacecadet25 No. It means that money hasn't been spent yet. Destiny has a planned minimum lifecycle of YEARS. Upwards of ten years if Activision is to be believed. They will have to inevitably make expansions for it. Or at least I HOPE they make expansions for it. Or else it isn't going to last anywhere near as long as they think it will.

@kisado87 I second this. I didn't care for the carbon dog tags and only really liked two of the map packs. The weapon camos were neat but BF4 has them as general unlocks for everyone.

@mos2000 @Donut0389 I really do like what I've seen coming for the PS4. Rime looks neat and I get very Shadow of the Colossus vibe from it, Infamous looks awesome, Deep Down looks neat and I can see why they went free-to-play with it (to avoid the PS+ multiplayer fee), the new Guilty Gear may also be on PS3 but come on it's going to look f**king beautiful on PS4, and Shadow of the Beast while just a trailer at the moment shows potential. And the PS+ fee for things like BF4 and other multiplayer titles doesn't really bother me. I was 360+PC before I got my PS3 in January. And PS+ has been treating me quite nicely.

@mos2000 @Donut0389 No. The GPU was a separate purchase. And I'm kinda uneasy about the whole thing. One of my best friends from high school convinced me to build a PC and he helped me build it. With all the problems I've been having with it in the past year I started to get mad about it. Enough so that it got between me and him and now we aren't friends anymore. So suffice to say I don't like the idea of staying in PC gaming just because of what I now associate it with. I'm going PS4+something for this gen. What exactly? I don't know. Maybe keep this broken bird running for indies and play the AAA titles on PS4.

@mos2000 @Donut0389 It WAS a Tiger Direct barebones kit. MCP6PB M2+ motherboard kit with an AMD Athlon 7850 Black Edition CPU. Added 4GB RAM (max for the mobo) and a Galaxy GTS 250 512Mb. All told it cost $480. Plus another $150 in repairs and now it needs about $300 to upgrade in any meaningful way.

@mos2000 I did try. My $480 rig from three years ago starting having problems only six months in. PSU failed. Then my DVD drive failed. Then my wireless card failed. Then my front audio jacks failed. Now my PC won't recognize headsets (it thinks they're all just speakers without a mic) and my second wireless card is failing. On top of that it needs about $300 in upgrades. So excuse me if I don't believe the whole "PCs are cheaper" shtick.

This just in from Nvidia! A $1000 PC with the best graphics you can buy and the top processor on the market can out-do a $400 console!

Really? Way to point out the obvious there, Nvidia.

@Pavlara You obviously don't understand videogame lifecycles. The game development is actually done about a month and a half or so before release with testing going on up until about two weeks before release. Devs have started using this development down time to start on DLC. It's why Borderlands 2 had DLC two weeks after launch. Not because it was cut to "make money" but because the dev team started on the DLC as soon development of the main game was over.
