Not F.E.A.R.... it's just creepy, not scary. Creepy is where there's creep you out but most of the things that "scare" you don't actually affect gameplay. (those flying torso ghosts aren't scary).

Dead Space? Well, it's a lot more shocking than scary, though the terrifying atmosphere combined with the excellent sound effects definitely make the game scary.

Bioshock? NO. Bioshock isn't scary at all, just atmospheric.

World at War Nazi Zombies? *Insert violent laughing fit here* SCARY? No.

That's what I've played... never tried any other scary games. Halo's Flood aren't scary, and will never count as scary. They are, at best, frightening....ly annoying.

I just sigh loudly, and think to myself where I failed.

I also growl a bit and complain.

If I just can't beat said portion of game, I enter a bad temper and remain so for about 30 minutes (or for 2 minutes, depending on whether or not I am eating).

Sometimes, what we want doesn't always wind up with what we expect. This is a topic simply to talk about what you wanted, what you expected, and what you got. It works a bit like this:

What I wanted:

(Insert Box Art here)

What I expected:

(Insert image depicting awesomeness of the game you had hoped for)

What I got:

(Insert image depicting lack of awesomeness)

Here's mine:

WHAT I WANTED:

What I expected:

What I got:

Yup.

Well....

Once upon a time I thought like you did. I just didn't think FPS were any fun at all.

The only reason why I liked them was because of Halo. And now, I only like really, really, really good FPS.

Halo 2 Slaso

I just couldn't do it. Could barely beat the first 4 levels.

Almost didn't finish Devil May Cry 3. Just couldn't bring myself to try the last level for 3 months after dying so many times on it.

I second you there. :)

You see, when I see a noob play and he does something stupid, I can't help but make a sarcastic, insulting comment. I never actually want to take the controller, but I just can't hold my tongue and the comment usually passes through my lips. Like when a guy tries to stick an infection form in Halo.

When I see a noob play and he uses some overpowered weapon in multiplayer, it kind of annoys me as well though I say nothing and kind of just watch. Especially watching my friends play Modern Warfare 2. My one friend, a total noob, uses akimbo shotguns every match, and still gets 7 kill streaks (not against me). It's really annoying.

I don't get what's with Bungie and the Flood. The Flood aren't that fun to fight. In fact, I daresay fighting them is nearly as fun as drinking your own bath water.

They aren't cool. They aren't scary. Heck, they aren't even fun.

Sure, in Combat Evolved, they were a great plot twist to experience that shocked me, but now, in 2 and 3, I just don't see the point.

Sure, they're important to the overall storyline, but did they really need to include the Gravemind? Did they need to include the Flood in Halo 2 at ALL?

Sigh....

Comment.

And don't say anything about ODST and Reach. The Flood technically didn't exist to those in Reach, and the ODST was stuck on Earth. Flood don't do Earth.

I never really liked GRAW for the computer. I thought it a bit too difficult (IT'S MY OPINION, PLEASE DON'T GO BERATING ME), and that the main character felt far too weak, and controlled badly.

You see, I like shooting stuff. I loved Modern Warfares 1 and 2, Halo 1 through 3, and stuff like Borderlands. I like that. But in GRAW, I barely every got an opportunity to shoot stuff, because as soon as an enemy saw me he'd pump my face full of lead and I'd be dead within 20 seconds out of getting out of cover. It's annoying.

Not to mention your main character is absolutely pitiful. He meanders about the massive city as if for all the world he's strolling through central park. At least jog slightly! I can maintain a steady jog for more than 5 minutes, why can't a commando saving the president do it?

Also, the main character is a bit weak compared to his teammates, even. Whenever there were enemies (whether it be 2 or 4), I'd just send out my team to kill them, and they'd just step out, and shoot maybe 3 concentrated bursts each and when I looked at the results, the fight was done, with my teammates still at full health.

I DON'T GET IT! What's so great about it? When I can't melee, can't jog and shoot at the same time, and can't even step out of cover without the hyperaware AI getting a lock on me and killing me in three seconds, what is there to like in the shooter?

I suppose I'm just not the planning type. I prefer to try and charge in and kill everything, and take cover when necessary. I tried being cautious, but as soon as I'd lean, I'd get shot. I just don't understand how to enjoy the game when I'm so limited.
