Goldeneye 64. Just thinking about the multiplayer brings out tears.

weirdly, you can, though the game never tells you in any way.
To be honest, I don't really understand why either... Gordon Freeman seems so 2-dimensional to me, but may be I'm also just not getting it.
I think people like him because he can improvise well (crowbar ftw) and because he's in good games.
READ BEFORE VOTING
Generally, when getting a new game or going to go see a new movie do you care more about what the critics thought, what other people thought in general, or neither?
For instance, if it were a movie, would you head over to see what Roger Ebert thought, or would you go and see what IMDB users rated it? Or would you just follow your gut?
And if it was a game, would you just see what the users thought, or what the Gamespot editor thought?
I didn't laugh at all....
I think that either Inception or How to Train Your Dragon should've won... Both were amazing.
Especially Inception's Dream is Collapsing. Best theme ever.
oh and TRON LEGACY WAS AWESOMEEEEE
suuuch a good soundtrack.... stinks it wasn't even nominated. How can you give the award to The Social Network and yet not even NOMINATE Tron Legacy?
To be honest, I really couldn't enjoy The Social Network's music. It was so repetitive and strange that I just couldn't enjoy it.. though I'm sure many have differing opinions.
Do you think The Social Network really deserved the award it got for "Best Original Score"?
If not, what do you think should have won?
Videogame soundtracks tend to go underappreciated. Simply because they are in videogames is a huge factor in making others disrespect them. If we go look around at the best of videogame soundtracks, you can often find soundtracks as good as if not better than a movie. For instance, Alan Wake's soundtrack. It is simply astounding.
Alan Wake's soundtrack is immensely beautiful, and definitely one of the best soundtracks of all time, for movie or game. "Welcome to Bright Falls" is one of the best tracks I've heard in anything, ever.
Halo's soundtrack is also brilliantly cinematic, and has some tracks that are bound to impress others. The Truth and Reconciliation Suite is so simply powerful it deserves to have an award named after it.
Dead Space also has a singularly impressive soundtrack, with some of the most atmospheric and intense music I've heard for a survival horror game. It's comparable to Alien 3.
One often overlooked soundtrack is Crysis. Crysis has an incredibly aggressive and powerful soundtrack. Guardians is without doubt one of the best themes I've heard.
Mass Effect also has a great soundtrack, though it's mostly the main theme that steals the show; most other tracks are subpar, though the main theme more than makes up for it.
Bioshock has one of the greatest soundtracks I've ever heard, with it's overlooked main theme conveying some brilliant emotion in there.
Max Payne also had a great soundtrack.
And there's still tons! Medal of Honor, God of War, Assassin's Creed, The Elder Scrolls IV, etc...
So, what were YOUR favorite video game soundtracks?
Well? Will Nintendo release an HD console within the next 5 years? EVER?
