[QUOTE="toast_burner"][QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]Why is there a BBFC rating on that box? The PEGI rates games in the UK now.Hexagon_777

A majority of games are rated by PEGI some are done by BBFC

The PEGI has become the sole ratings board for video games here in the United Kingdom, though.

I was wondering this as well The BBFC stated quite a while ago that PEGI would be the sole ratings board but most games still carry the BBFC certificate, Aliens Vs Predator also carries the 18 BBFC cert.

I think this is better all parents know the BBFC system so they have no excuse when they buy their ten year old violent games

2 more things that grind my gears- no predictive text tool for messages and the on-screen keyboard is arranged alphabetically. It notifies you when friends come online but not when they go offline. PSN does/has both these things, from launch. And (in my experience) offers a smoother online performance.

I'm one of those who know it's somewhat of a scam but has paid for it for years and will continue to. MS must love customers like me :P

[QUOTE="racing1750"] *sighs* you don't have to pay the full price at once, you can pay for XBL per month which is 5 pounds here in the uk, and thats dirt cheap.Floppy_Jim

That would work out to 60.00 per year... you could almost buy 2 brand new games for that price. It's cheaper to pay it all at once.

actually you can change the keyboard to a QWERTY one in the settings if you wish it just comes alphabetical as standard.

Ive been gaming on my panny plasma for 1.5 years now and sometimes a session could go as long as 7-8 hours and I have never had any retention let or burn in, all those things are a thing of the past.

Also, SKY is an additional fee.

mdh1982

Unless you have a sky subscription. Which i'd imagine most people in the UK do.

If you already have a Sky subscription why would you watch it on your xbox? plus if you want Sky Sports you would have to pay for the subscription anyway. And Sky Sports is not worth the cost!!!

Yes, I looking forward to some worth while updates as well, I don't need Facebook on every bit of technology I own!

I use the sky player quite a lot I can watch any of the 400+ movies instantly any time instead of waiting for it to come around on TV again

I have to agree and disagree I liked the old method of pick pocketing it took more skill, I liked listening in on conversations to get clues, and I have to agree I have currently been playing AC2 for about 10 hours and only died twice and once was on purpose.

With AC you really had to take time and plan your assasination if you didnt want a S**t storm to fall around you thats not the case anymore and I feel you find yourself caring less as a result.

But I still cant put the damn game down.

[QUOTE="SilentlyMad"]The 3D gimmick has been around since the 50s and it never took off in the movies. The Sega 3D console never took off either. I do not see it happening now either.KHAndAnime

well it's really taking off in movies now IMO...every animated film these days in theaters always has some sort of 3D

so it is becoming more popular.....but as for games...yea, i don't see it taking off either

Yup, especially with Avatar being a huge success, 3D is going to be even harder to avoid. I honestly don't mind a few 3D movies and such - but damn, keep it out of my house.

its just a gimmick movie studios roll out when numbers are low it started really late 40's early 50's when people didnt go to the movies for two reasons people didnt have a lot of money after recovering from a world war and TV was just being introduced so the gimmick of 3D got in the numbers.

70's-80's the home VCR was booming and the movies took a hit so 3D was rolled out again

00's-10's downloading and piracy is rife, people have big TV's and home theatres and blu-ray people will wait for the movies to watch it at home, so guess what to see a movie as it was intended you have to see it in 3D and the best current way to do that it is.......well you know where.

this will pass dont be dragged in.

See now this really grinds my gears people think playing video games is something only pubescent teenage boys do in their bedrooms and then drop the habit when they get out in the sunlight but NO those teenage boys are now 30-40 and they are still playing games and with a lot more cash to spend,

Plus with the exemption of WOW players a lot of us have families that have joined in with our hobbies.

People dont stop fishing why should we stop gaming.

I dont see what uncharted 2 did that the first one didnt gameplay wise, yeah the second one was a bit prettier but I played uncharted through 3 times the second one just seemed a bit easier and a bit more boring how many times do I want to climb that bloody train? I can tell you now not more than once.
