I don't have first-hand experience on the V10, however one does keep hearing of HUD's not disappearing for a week after a few (non-stop) hours of gaming on plasma's, and I don't suppose the V10 would be much different in that regard. It is supposed to be excellent for movies and the like.

If I were you, I'd get a LED or a higher end LCD though. Go down to a store nearby and demo it otherwise.

Ive been gaming on my panny plasma for 1.5 years now and sometimes a session could go as long as 7-8 hours and I have never had any retention let or burn in, all those things are a thing of the past.

I was recently in the TV market for an HDTV and I got the Pioneer Elite Kuro PRO-111FD which is the best picture you can get. Now out of all the other TVs I looked at, the Panasonic V10 was the second best after the Elite Kuro. Don't get LED, its not as good as the plasma.

Those IR problems were with old technology.
