tbh, playing online should be rated AO, it can be so vulgar on there sometimes with all the swearing and verbal abuse.The_Gaming_Baby

lol i can agree here to an extent because ive heard so many racist and vulgar remarks online that it can be jaw dropping to people not accustomed to that language.

I honestly believe that in terms of games, PS3 has brought the most inovation in this gen. I think a lot of the exclusives have brought SOMETHING special. Even if it is relatively small the in grand sceme of things.

LBP is obviously the most notable. With modnation Racers following in its footsteps.

I feel as though Uncharted brought innovation. Some people say it is not innovative at all, but i completely disagree. Uncharted and especially Uncharted 2 brought the most cinematic events WHILE STILL IN GAMEPLAY ever seen in a video game.

GoW while similar to Uncharted in terms of innovation, i think brought about the whole camera angle usage. Some really awesome scenes in that game due to it IMO.

I think killzone 2 and infamous didnt really do anything special, although they are good games.

NaveedLife

yes really good points especially the use of camera angles in GoW i didnt think to many people picked up on how that played a huge role in the success of that game.

I feel that the 3d era is being pushed to fast.... We aren't their yet....movies can barely even get it right. Avatar had great 3d but still felt a little wierd at times until your eyes adjusted to it.

But i think that games should really wait until the 3d effect is truly MAstered.

3d usually involves DISTANCE as a factor from your screen. IM guessing everyone would need huge tvs and a proper distance as well to get the full effect.

Were not at the jetsons level yet lol....were still leaving bedrock!

The single player was SUPERB especially for its genre. THe sound quality really captured the west.

As for the Multiplayer i really feel it could have used more effort...as i really thought poker, blackjack, the lasso rope, skinning animals, and at least some kind of Inventory would be included....the videos really misled a lot of people in this aspect of the game.

okay, so we all see the same genres. Same Layouts. And sometimes games can tend to feel like one another *cough* dantes inferno : God of war...

so what I am asking is what are your favorite ps3 games that have brought something NEW and CREATIVE to their genres on the ps3.

IT doesnt matter if they succeeded or not....were focusing on the aspect of bringing something new here... :D

mines are:

1. MAG - I really liked how this company was brave enough to make a 256 player shooter despite all the critics saying it would lag and lock up 24/7. (which it didnt)

2. DEMONS SOULS- The multiplayer was amazing (leaving notes, helping others, and being invaded from other players) and The FEELING of being able to DIE (and start from the begginning of the level) REALLY brought a new feeling of BEING ALIVE and FEELING DANGER in the game.

3. WHITE KNIGHT CHRONICLES- THe interaction between players online and sharing towns was a very creative idea.

OVERALL i wish for more games to embrace creativity in MP...instead of just Team death match....or explore the world....etc...

Isn't a review of a game in its completion, multi-player and single-player? Also multi-player will be different for every person. Say i kill everyone every game id feel like its perfect and say high score! Say i lose every game i would say the game is bad and give it a low score.

Dante's Inferno First half 9/10, Second Half 5/10 or just go ahead and say 7/10.

jjivey

I dun feel like games should be reviewed based on the amount of times you win or lose... buuut...i do feel that reviewers should go into deep detail of multiplayer with the same enthusiasm as they do in sp....

They can tell you everything in the world about a SP campaign....

They can glorify the MP modes...deathmatches for example..maps..(in this quote im referring to Fps for example)...

but they wont mention how bad the small things are.... SUCH as not being able to communicate with other squads in BAD COMPANY 2 MP..

or having to go through an ENTIRE cycle of screens JUST to invite a friend to a game...

Or even the difficulty in trying to finds a friends game *COUGH* NO JOIN button for RED DEAD REDEMPTIONS FREE ROAM.... :(

Multiplayer is nice for about 3 days, then it gets old. It's not like there's ever going to be a new challenge to overcome, or a story that will have an exciting climax. It's just the same thing over and over and over - some times you pwn the noobs, sometimes you get pwned. It's fun for a bit, but then it's time to start a new game.

Jackc8

What i really wish to see on the ps3 is more games take FULL advantage of the online feature and put more heart INTO their multiplayer games. Im not saying that every game should focus on multiplayer because that would be bad for sP....but i just wish there was more of a variety in the detail to MP. Games such as DEMON SOULS, WHITE KNIGHT CHRONICLES, and MAG are games that IMO took a BRAVE step into the QUALITY of their MULTIPLAYER games.

I agree with you on how most games MP gets boring fast...but I really believe its because those games dun treat their mp as a priority. I just wish a FEW games would. NOT just FPS games...

DEMONS SOULS- Multiplayer was VERY NICE the NOTES and playing together was creative.

WHITE KNIGHT CHRONICLES- VERY nice mP creativity as well.

MAG- 256 PLAYER SHOOTER was a great step towards FPS INNOVATION
