do you think they will ever give the ps3 or future consoles the ability to recieve upgrades like a PC can do.

The main edge a pc has over a console is that it can evolve with upgrades...giving it a longer lifespan at top end gaming.

Giving consoles the ability to upgrade with prebuilt video cards (possibly sponsored by companies such as NVIDIA) will allow players to improve their systems.

adding a faster processor will make a lot of games less laggy etc...

making this user friendly without having to completely tear open your ps3 would be ideal. ( built in slots easy access for upgrades )

DO you think this will end the WAR between pc and ps3 (consoles) ???

after all...a console capablities are catching up to pcs (internet, netflix, social networks etc..) ...but the hardware is still stuck as it is.

the only way would be if they made ps3 a pc in essence...by allowing you to upgrade components... i believe one day it will come..

as of now you can upgrade your memory by buying a harddrive for xbox360... or adding wireless with attachments...

maybe one day they willl allow users to upgrade the processor and videocards of ps3s....

until that day...consoles will never catch up...because they cant evolve... a ps3 will stay a ps3. A pc can evolve with upgrades...

Yea it seems hard to believe. But trust me...when i broke out of the console bubble and actually saw the power the PC (computer) games graphics had.... it blew me away...

take a look at the upcoming BF3 and compare the pc version to the console one. Too see it in actual MOTION...the smoothness of excellent graphics... its amazing. a great PC has the power to play any ps3 game with no amount of lag what so ever. (gives you that quick call of duty framerate).

i want a ps4...but I worry that it will take a long time for devs to optimize there games for it. Its like learning a new language of codes building games from the ground up. Look how long it took for ps3 to be able to run Madden NFL football at a playable framerate and control. The first 4-5 maddens on next gen looked nice but came nowhere near the amount of control felt on previous gen madden games.

I think when the ps4 hits the shelves...it really doesnt HIT the shelves until 3-4 years after its official release...when the games are optimized (not laggy or too sensitive on the controls etc... looking at you "perfect dark" when you first came out)

IMO... let them release it...but dont buy it right away...

yea i hate when games put a demo out on a feature that isnt really its main thing...

like a game known for its campaign putting out multiplayer demos....it really gives people a bad impression...

i probably would have liked lost if i would have known it was the Co-op that made it so good lol...see i didnt even know that...

thats how bad the demo (multiplayer team deathmatches) scared me..

yea i was disappointed the sequel was on psp as well....i wished it to be on ps3...

it seems like most modern games have a quick action packed storyline that rushes players into it by grabbing their attention with flashy stuff...

I think i kind of like how VC eased into their storyline...

and ya the cutscenes are long lol....it felt like i was watching a Anime...but i kinda liked it

honestly it was the demo of the multiplayer that scared me away from this game....it just seemed so clumsy for a 3rd person shooter imo....and it was a disappointment compared to what i was expecting from all the advertisements on tv etc... they made it seem like the next best shooter... so i had really high expectations...

played this game.. is it me or this ones a diamond in the rough??? like it was really done well.....you can tell they put their heart and soul into developing this one...

I was going 2v1 back in the days on Halo 1... when split screen was the only multiplayer out on consoles... and i was the dominant player in the house....

eventually i encountered an old tactic they had resorted to that many of you veteran gamers may have remembered facing....

SCREEN WATCHERS...

they used rockets and got me.... so i pulled out halo 1 and slammed it on the floor cracking it to pieces... (luckily halo2 was coming out :) )
