weve seen it in too many games... your old favorites that used to have such a solid foundation in gameplay has converted to the bells and whistles *cough* FF13....

My current example is Backbreaker football and its REAL time Physics Engine (natural motions red dead redemption physics) being used as a Foundation to BUILD upon

VS

Maddens Bells and whistles...graphics, modes, commentary. (the foundation for maddens gameplay was built LAST GEN and they continue to use it...but not even close to how it once was.)

so the QUESTION is...do you prefer games that have a solid foundation to build upon or a game that uses bells and whistles to lull its crowd?

Its funny when people say this...because they forget...you need something called MOMENTUM and a little stat called STRENGTH lol...

This aint madden...1 button doesnt work magic for you. And stats actually make a difference.

This game IMO is better than madden... THe physics engine is unlike anything ever seen before...everything registers (you can tackle people already engaged in tackles...and everything is realistic reactions)....

also if youve actually played football in real life you'd understand the camera angle (behind the back) and how it limits your full vision of the field (thus creating the threat of being BLINDSIDED...which is on everyones mind in football ill tell u.)

some people think the running is bad...but what ive learned is that your players play ACCORDING to their overall.... which is great. YOu wont catch a guy airing it out with a BAD qb...

This doesnt mean people will just pick the BEST rated team.... IT means you can create your team (low lvled starting stats) and REcruit new players YOUve EARNED in "ROAD TO BACKBREAKER MODE" and bring your own PERSONALLY made team into the battle field....

i WIll say this is the best next gen football game BY FAR. BE warned...it takes skills to actually be good in this game lol...no pick up the remote and DOMINates allowed here.

played both...beat RDR....and am in progress of GOW3...so far i like GOW3 better...but this is coming from a person who understands the storyline (of part 1 and 2 completions)... so if you havent beat part 1 or 2 of GOW id go for RDR

I think its an underappriciated art....i do like how valk chronicles kept turn based strategy and gave it a twist....but in terms of RPGS most games are going for the real time affect.....

and i usually feel like i Dont control the other characters....i guess i blame kingdom hearts and KOTOR for this new trend lol...

to me its never been about the system...so there really is no system loyalty for me.....BUT it always has been about game selection....and this is where systems come into play.

Just try to think about all the games you wish you can play...if they are on PS3 then stay...if theyre on xbox 360 go there...like wise with pc and Wii.,,,

just play a console that contains the MOST enjoyable games for You

Sony anticipated this with the PS3 slim, removing the on/off switch entirely, but I bet there's a few people out there pulling the plugs out of their ps3 when their done with it to compensate.

Well...they have ALWAYS looked BORING when u seen them from the outside looking in....

but when you actually play a turn based rpg (the old final fantasy game styles) they really become strategic and engaging....

Why have so many games strayed away from this style?????

im suprised nobody has mentioned ASSASSINS CREED and the crowd detection...(bumping and moving people out of the way instead of going through them)
