next-gen consoles are all about HD.  if you're paying THAT much for a system and you don't plan on getting an hdtv before the consoles go down in price, you may as well just wait.  there's no sense in buying one at $600 if you aren't going to utilize the hd capabilities.  not even with the exclusive games would you get me to buy one without an hd tv.

[QUOTE="tonyandsteff"]mine seems like a dust magnet... i also have a german shepherd that sheds like a mofo, and all that dander and stuff.  so about every other day i use compressed air and blow as much of the junk out as i can, and use a terry cloth to take off the layer that piles on top of the thing.MERC_RECONN

LOL...I'm in the same boat as you tony, but worse, I have a Siberian husky. If you walk in my house, you might think you are in a old western movie because of all the tumble weeds of hair.

LOL i know!!!!!  we have hardwood floors and EVERY TIME someone walks by you're so right!  tumbleweeds of hair go rolling!  we seriously sweep probably twice a day and still, nothing you can do.  we just recently bought a de-shedding comb called the "furminator" and it works awesome.  he loves it, and it takes a majority of his loose hair out.  but that was just a week ago, so maybe once we get into the routine of doing it every day, the dust and hair may slow down.  but for now, i keep the doors shut on the entertainment center until i play.  lol

Hey this is to see what a majority of PS3 gamers have or prefer for a home audio speaker set.  Inspired by our friend who's taking off to the Air Force, the thread started a small debate about home audio.  I have heard rumors that Yamaha basically owns the top line for receivers.  Do you agree/disagree and why?  Klipsch, Bose, Yamaha, and JBL are all great manufacturers of speakers.  Which do you think is the best?  Why/why not?  I myself love my Yamaha receiver, and I think klipsch is definitely the top line of speakers - they sound awesome.  Please state your own opinions below.

[QUOTE="GameCrazed85"]Bose speakers are overated trash! Sorry had to beat someone to it. :P lolMobfia

Name something better than Bose  (i have 28 series)

i prefer klipsch over bose when it comes to speakers myself.  right now i have a sweet receiver hooked up to 2 nice klipsch bookshelf speakers, and 3 other crappy old phillips cheapos.  im upgrading one set at a time until i get a nice surround sound system. but anyhow, bose is outstanding but klipsch seems to be one step better, IMO.  But back to the topic - you are a brave man joining our military at a time of war.  Not many people can say they've done that.  Good luck to you, thank you, and God Bless.  Stay safe, and we'll see you when you get back!

there are 2 gamestops around here and the employees are pretty awesome actually. the folks are real pleasant and always willing to help out.  best buy customer service sucks hiney.  you can walk in that store for DAYS and nobody will take the time out of their day to help you.  then once someone does, they usually tell you all wrong.  however, i consider myself pretty smart when it comes to what i want and stuff, so i too only go to gamestop when looking for a good deal on a used game.  target and walmart tend to be about $10 cheaper on new ones.  i just bought scarface last night at wal mart for 40 bucks - gamestop used was 35 and new was 50.  i dont like going to gamestop that much because to me the place looks like a damn garage sale.  crap laying all over the floors, crap hangin off the walls, nothing is straight, nothing is in order...  so when i got $20 burnin a hole in my pocket, i'll go scamper through the used ps2 games there and if something appeals to me, i'll buy it.  sometimes i strike out, and sometimes i hit a home run.  it all depends....
