I want to upgrade my HDD for the ps3, but I don't really know anything about it.  I know there are videos showing how to change it, so im not "really" concerned about tht at all.  I dont know what kind to get, or what to do once i change it.  Does the operating system remain in the system?  How can i save my games that are already on the ps3 to something so i dont lose them?  also the ps2 memory cards i've created?  what do i do?  thanks

u acnt use a gamshark online...im talking for jus playing the gameSickballa00

yeah you can - a lot of people use it on SOCOM, there are boot codes which allow you to boot someone out of the room on either team, tagging codes which allow you to see the opposing players names over their head.... most of the other ones are insignificant.  anyhow, thats the way you use them online.

i didnt really notice that much of a difference really, but i didnt get my ps3 until late january.  i had little to compare to.  i know the only gripe i have is when im online on socom and i'm done for a while, no matter what i do, i have to manually shut off the ps3 using the switch in the back.  it freezes EVERY time.  and since that's basically the only game im playing right now, it gets irritating FAST

lol i remember when i was about 17 or 18 and i was obsessed with the HTIAB systems.. Thats where i got my first surround sound!  It really isn't THAT bad...  It really isn't THAT good either, but hey, for $300-400 you get what you pay for.  Sure, it's not digital theater blah blah blah but you know what, it worked for what it was bought for!  But now I'm going the higher end route with the fancy receiver, nice speakers, the whole 9 yards.  I still have that 7 year old system!  I'm still using the speakers until i purchase the good ones, one set at a time.  And the DVD player that came with it.  Oh, and the guy who was askin how far away from the TV we are - I'm about 8-10 feet from my 57".  It's pretty much perfect.  We have a HUGE living room, and the best part about the architecture of my home, is that there is the office right next to the L.R., then the Dining room, THEN the kitchen, so i dont hear the dishwasher when its on, or the bathroom, or nothing.  Basically, its me and my game and no interruptions.  Believe it or not, my wife is usually my second set of eyes, she loves watching when i play games like GOW or DMC.  She sees a lot of sh1t that i dont.

i'm not going to defend myself or argue with anyone aside from in this message, so believe me or not i dont really care but im not pirating ps2 games and i dont plan to.

I'm a musician and i'm against all that stuff - pirating movies, file sharing, copying materials, etc.

i was just curious to know what format they were in.  i'm just starting to learn about how to record dvd's from vhs tapes, and from tv programming, i'm quite a long ways away from pirating games... assuming i can get the thing to even work with copywritten material.  so just relax

Ok so all the topics about high defnition lately, and nobody has once asked this question yet -

My TV has 2 settings which the user can select - 1080i, and 540p.  However, in the owners manual, it says it "supports" 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i.  Now, my question is, WTF????????  How do I know what resolution it's playing in?!  How do I know it's in what I want it to be in????  What's the difference between me setting it in 1080i, and the PS3 at 720p???  What does it mean by "supports?"  This is getting wayyyyyyy annoying to me.....
