I give this game an 8.5/10. The lack of a robust camera option is not a game-breaking issue (it can be moved, just not as freely as some may prefer). The game is quite easy for an above average, adult gamer. However, that does not take away any of it's pure enjoyment and absolutely adorable theme. My 4 yr old daughter LOVES IT and it's quite challenging for her. The music in the game is a perfect fit as well, as it's not overly done, yet exists perfectly in the background as you explore the levels and the world that Lucky wonders within. The controls feel quite similar to the ORIGINAL Crash Bandicoot games, only slightly better thanks to the 60 FPS on the One X. This game is only $30 (and I believe Best Buy is going to have physical for only $20 on Black Friday). If you love 3D platformers, do yourself a favor and pick this one up. I promise you'll walk away with a good feeling about the game.

I think modern platformers get too much criticism for two reasons these days:

a). It's not Mario

b.) Everyone is expecting some form of nostalgia when playing these

To the adults reading this: Stop expecting a brand new game to make you feel like you're 9 years old again. Just enjoy it for what it is. Even better, get yourself a child and share the enjoyment with them.

@scottyp360: You showed all of us what kind of person you are. It's all about winning and losing to you.

I'll say a prayer for you tonight

@xxmavr1kxx: Yeah, I think there is something I'm needing to do in order to enable One X patches/updates to start downloading on my One S, and I just haven't done that yet. My One X is supposed to arrive tomorrow, so I should probably look into that lol.

@xxmavr1kxx: I know that Forza 7, Final Fantasy 15, and Shadow of War patches are available now (according to Xbox Reddit posts). I'm sure there's more in there, but I'm not a savvy reddit user, and I can't seem to find a way to find the info much easier than drudging through all the posts, which is quite messy.

@Legend_of_Link: I've been watching the Xbox Reddit articles and many are saying that a lot of these games are having their patches become available in the last 48 hours or so. I don't remember seeing AC:O on there though. You might wanna check it out and see if you can find any info on it.

All of these systems hold a special place in my heart (except for the Atari 2600, it was before my time). If I HAD TO pick one, I would prolly pick the Wii U. Now I know what many of you are thinking, but remember, EVERYONE is entitled to their own opinion. Obviously I'm not picking it because of it's sheer power or broad library. I'm picking it because to this day, my daughter and I still play this system together and I have so many fond memories of the games we've played together. She doesn't even turn 5 until December and yet she is getting quite good at Super Mario 3D World. She still struggles with placing well on Mario Kart, but she's learning how to get better and better every time she plays. Eventually, I'm sure we'll move on to playing the Switch together (I have one, but haven't purchased Mario Odyssey yet), but for right now, I'm totally content with playing the Wii U with her. It's the console she's most familiar with, so it's the one she wants to play the most. Although we sometimes play Unravel and Forza together on the Xbox, (her driving skills in Forza are not terrible, but she'll never win a race, she mostly just likes to free-roam in Horizon 3, and it's HILARIOUS!).

@doctor_mg: Ah, there we go. I didn't know this info existed. I'm not completely pulling out of my claim, but those references do certainly help against it. And a huge thanks to everyone that has contributed to this thread with intelligence so far.

@Richardthe3rd: My paragraph that you quoted was not intended to "name-call" if that's why you are referencing it with my "Speak with intelligence" sentence. There are Nintendo fans out there that would still support Nintendo even if Nintendo announced tomorrow that the Switch will no longer be supported (I call those people Nintendo fanatics. It's not meant to be a derogatory name). I'm just letting everyone know that it's "my opinion" and people would be more successful landing on Jupiter than changing my opinion.

You're absolutely right, I could be very wrong. You make some very good points as well. But I still feel that the first few months Nintendo was losing out on revenue because of shortages very well could have been deliberately done to set themselves up for a HUGE holiday market (I read somewhere one time that a lot of companies make nearly 90% of their revenue during the holiday months). With supplying the Switch on store shelves no longer an issue, and a cheaper price point than Xbox One X AND PS4, they stand a good chance at walking away with the most sales for their console this holiday season. And unlike MS and Sony, they stand to make more than just a few bucks profit on each unit sold.

@lion2447: But that's only what Nintendo is telling us (or told us a few months ago). Where's the non-bias input on the topic of parts shortages? Again, I'm only making a hypothetical claim. I very well could be wrong. But when Nintendo came out and said that cell phone makers are eating up all the parts, I only saw it as smoke and mirrors (meaning you're led to believe one thing, when really something else is going on).

BTW: When I say "non-bias" input, I'm not talking about you. I'm talking about Nintendo, because they are OBVIOUSLY bias for their own product, as they should be. Any company that ever talks down about their current or future products is a doomed company.

@sellingthings: I think ZombiU was the closest it ever got, and that potential was only half-realized in the game.
