@johnny0779: Wow, I'm very surprised a hardcore Sony fanboy hasn't hit hard back at this comment yet.

But with all do respect, what did I miss? Did Sony commit to something recently that's only 30 fps? If so, then it sure does seem like a waste to put in a beefier CPU.

@kalade: You're right, plus consoles still haven't announced prices yet. Consoles still have an ace in the hole right now. But still, it's hard to say "no" to PC gaming right now if you've already got a decently capable CPU.

@alastor529: They're more than fair. They're downright ludicrous for Nvidia. I mean, how little profit are they trying to make here? 🤣

@Decoy77: True, but this has ALWAYS been the case for literally decades now. Perhaps you're just now realizing this. If that's the case, I'm sorry you're discovering this. It has, and always will suck, but it's just the way the world is, my friend

The pricing certainly is aggressive, especially with the amount of raw power these things have. Makes me wonder if it's anything to do with the current economic situation. But surely they wouldn't slice their profits into fractions? Makes me then wonder, were they getting just filthy, disgusting rich off of us from the RTX 20 series and the GTX 10 series? 🤣

I mean sure, some of the tech is carry- over from Turing, but still......... that power increase is huge. Hope it really turns out to be that big of a boost when we start seeing it put to use in the real world of gaming.

@Atzenkiller: You seem to think there is only two kinds of ppl: those who play all the new games only vs. those who only play last-gen games.

There are many, many ppl who play all kinds of different mixtures of both new and old games.

Open your eyes. Don't be so loyal to just one brand. You're only hurting yourself.

@philip6k: Who is "they?" I think what you're probably trying to say is "Sony has a lot of customers."

"Consumers" are everyone, regardless of what you choose to buy.

And you're obviously just so loyal to a piece of plastic since you had to mention this, plus you're defending their anti-consumer approach. My conversation with you is over because it's so pointless trying to discuss this with a MAJOR fanboy. Good day to you.

@philip6k: Um, what you just said is so anti-consumer.

And when you have no consumers left that want your product, then you no longer can sustain a viable profit
