I'm laughing at the idiots that think this is political. It's actually a matter of our economy. Trump and Biden both care a great deal about our economy. Stop with the adolescent, non-sensical "left-wing"; "right-wing" bull**** and realize that regardless of what president or politician is requesting an investigation, it's a good thing. Just be happy that someone higher up the totem poll is aware of the problem and wants to get to the bottom of it.

Btw: scalpers, your *** is on notice

@hazy33: Yes, i read the entire piece. Your comment bears no weight of information to acknowledge any embarrassment except your own for not providing anything to support your "opinion."

Regardless, I'm not embarrassed of anything. Fares wants to act like devs could get screwed out of money. But yet, a contract is only binding if both parties sign it (this includes the devs). So if devs agree to get paid based on how much their game gets played, then they AGREED to those terms. Besides, Phil Spencer has already addressed how they have multiple options on how devs can get "compensated" for having their games on game pass.

I'm fully willing to listen and understand your point of view on the matter, but it seems you disagreed with me and only wanted to attempt to make fun of me, rather than provide anything intelligent towards to the conversation.

Is this the same guy who went on The Game Awards and said "**** the Oscars"? Because if it is, this guy has a drinking problem and also talks WAAAAAAAY too much. IMO he's always going against the grain just to get attention. Pretty sure Phil Spencer has already covered this. If there were devs out there literally getting scammed by Game Pass contracts, we would've heard about it by now. And if they sign the contract, they're agreeing to it. Regrets only come when you later realize risks you've taken didn't end in your favor. Don't like it? Don't take the risks.

@shamatuu257: You're absolutely right, even the Microsoft exclusive will be on PC, so definitely go buy them on PC, cuz that way you won't give MS a single penny

🤣

@tsunami2311: it's mostly due to the fact that nvme is all talk in the pc world, with relatively few buyers. It's the same thing as ppl gloating about how much more powerful the RTX 3090 will be than any console could ever dream of, ALL OF THE PC GAMERS are gloating about this, but guess how many of them will actually purchase one? Very few.

With that said, now that these SSD technologies are being implemented in a MUCH larger mass-production because every single console ships with one, they're being manufactured on a much larger scale. This means that the progress of price decrease will speed up much quicker. I'd guess (again, just a guess, to all the keyboard-warriors out there) in 3-4 years from now, these things will cost almost half of what they do now, give or take.

Also, you mention SSD, as in the original SSD storage options the came out many years ago. They're pretty damn cheap now, I recently purchased an internal PNY 500 GB for $46 from Best Buy. Had I put in more effort, perhaps I could've found it for a few bucks cheaper elsewhere.

@ghost_of_phobos: Yep, exactly. I already own and use an external SSD on my One X, and even though transferring files takes a little bit of time, we're talking 10 minute total to transfer a 100 GB game (depending on which way is transferring, it could be even less than that). I think using cold-storage is the most economical route to go. I could, perhaps, afford these $220 add-ons, but it's just too early and too expensive to justify the small amount of time it would save.

Microsoft thanks you all for your future purchases of these games on PC, because selling games is where they make money. If you buy their console, you're actually causing them to lose money
