If I've got a single, I'll give it to somebody, along with any loose change in my pocket.

Here's why:

You people who won't give a guy a buck because you think he'll spend it on drugs and alcohol are being disgustingly arrogant. I'm sure many of us on this site are fairly well-to-do and won't be bothered by the lack of a dollar or two. To withhold such money because it's not being spent on what WE want it to be spent on is being unfairly judgemental. Playing god by dictating who to give money to and what sort of person deserves money is hypocritical. Do you think homeless people live on booze and crack? I live near Georgetown in D.C. which has several homeless people, some of whom I've gotten to know personally. To condemn the homeless for their situation and refuse to help somebody get a sandwich or something because you don't want them to spend it on alcohol demonstrates, to me, a fundamental misunderstanding of the problem of homelessness. Yes, many homeless people are in their situation because of a bad choice they made. But so often, they're predisposed to these choices because of the environment they lived in -- through no true fault of their own. Ultimately, what it comes down to is that you don't need that change in your pocket. But the homeless guy you try not to look at DOES. So next time, in an acknowledgement that you can't glean somebody's essence and personality in a brief glance, give the guy a dollar.

What is this strange thing you call homework?

And I was impressed by your lack of punctuation. Epic.

People that say you'll understand the story are lying.

I was new to the series and MGS4, while moderately fun to play, had a pile of crap for a plot. I read the Wikipedia plot summaries and watched GameTrailers' plot summary for the series as well, and still got nothing meaninful out of MGS4's story. I've yet to talk to somebody who was entirely new to the series and hear them say, "Yeah, I thought the story was great".

Also, this might help a bit.

New review - Unreal Tournament

It's in Google Docs (EDIT not anymore), flash, put your thumbs away for now. ;)

Because Gamespot's being glitchy and nasty to me...oh why doi you have to be that way, Gamespot, WHY?! GAHHHHHHHHH

EDIT: Okay, so my dog just started barking, and then I realized that there were voices - some dudes pulled into our driveway for some reason or another. I have no idea why.

I came back to Gamespot and put my review in. It worked. The above link will take you there.

Aberinkulas

ZOMG Divine intervention! God does exist!

And yeah, I guess you already know what I think of the three reviews at hand...

Yeah dude, you got seriously screwed. You should never sell to those game stores -- they always rip you off. Know that they'll be selling your games for something like 3 or 4 times what they gave you for them.

For me, Fire Emblem will always be the quintessential SRPG. It's got such a perfect balance of strategy of role-playing, especially compared to other games like Final Fantasy Tactics or Disgaea where strategy really takes a back seat to role-playing. That said, I really do love Disgaea. I'm just now really getting into Disgaea DS, my first game in the series, and it's finally starting to be fun. It took a while to get into, and leveling-up low-level characters was really annoying. But it's a great, fun, addictive game. On the other hand, I've never really been a fan of the Final Fantasy Tactics games. I've played both FFTAs and didn't particularly enjoy either of them.

I've not played either, but you might as well start with IV. If you happened to be an old-school RPG fan, you probably would have played DQ IV already, so DQ V might make more sense, as it's a game that's never been released in North America before. But seeing as you're not a huge fan of the genre anyway, you might as well start with IV. If you're looking for other old school RPGs, I'd also recommend Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV, both for the DS. And for a more modern RPG, The World Ends with You kicks some serious butt.

Dude, that would be epic! I remember playing and absolutely loving the Pokemon Trading Card game back on the Game Boy Color. It was so ridiculously addictive. I never actually played the card game, but I played that game and loved it. Being able to trade cards and battle online seems like a no-brainer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Brawl, back when it released. Which, incidentally, is why I'm not so into the Wii.
