I found a good deal on a new PSP and I'm considering buying one. But I've not heard particularly good things about the PSP in general, and I've already got a DS. However, there are several titles on the PSP that appeal to me -- mainly strategy and RPGs, but also games like Crisis Core and Chains of Olympus.
So, that said, is it really worth it to buy a PSP? How many really great games would you say are on the system?
Thanks.
Unless Civ Revolution is better, then yes.Cherokee_JackI know nothing about Halo Wars but given the series' track record, I doubt Civ Rev is better. It lacked the customizable options and jazz of the PC versions and, if you ask me, is a decent example of how not to bring a PC RTS series to console.
[QUOTE="bluej33"][QUOTE="no_handlebars"] You picking up the More Corridors DLC for DullandGrey 2? Looks awesome. no_handlebarsDevelopers have been toiling for a year now working on adding more engrossing, atmospheric shades of gray to the sequel, or so I hear. I heard they're also adding more dull. That's pretty impressive considering how dull the originals were. Hey, they're dedicated.
[QUOTE="millerlight89"]That is a great list my friend. You gave some great points. I am now taking my pc and selling it so I can go get a 360 and play Shoot more aliens 3, or a ps3 to play DullandGrey 2no_handlebarsYou picking up the More Corridors DLC for DullandGrey 2? Looks awesome.

[QUOTE="bluej33"][QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"]If you only own a PS3, then yes, they're in decline.HoldThePhoneOf course! If you own a 360, you could be playing AAA titles like Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remanant. I think anyone would agree that the real place to play JRPGs this gen is either on a DS or PSP. Agreed. The World Ends With You may very well be the best JRPG I've ever played.
And I was being sarcastic regarding "AAA" SRPGs on the 360. Although I guess Tales of Vesperia looks nice. It'd look even nicer if there weren't a near-identical game on the GameCube that you can now buy for 12 bucks.

At least PS3 has a remake of Eternal Sonata and Valkyria Chronicles, which is really awesome.
Consoles:

I know that's a cop out, but I would own every console if I could. I'm not surprised that so many say Wii here. I just wonder how many of those people have actually played one, and how many are just upset it wasn't their choice of console and it's leading in sales and publicity.jimkabrhel
Right, I forgot that overall sales are a measure of how good a console really is.
Speaking from personal experience, as somebody who stood out in front of Best Buy for five hours on launch day to get a Wii, I'm going to say that the Wii is, speaking from a subjective and not a financial standpoint, this generation's loser at least so far. The only time I even plug it in is to play Brawl with friends every once in a while.
I waited forever for an Uncharted price drop, but finally bit the bullet and paid sixty bucks for it. Which I think might be Sony's point -- people don't really have a problem paying full retail for AAA titles.
That said, I don't really know what happened with the whole Greatest Hits lineup or whatever. It was a great move on Sony's part to move old AAA titles and get people to purchase multiplatform titles on the PS3 instead of the 360. But then all of a sudden they just dropped it, and we haven't seen any additions since it was first announced. Shame.
