Dragon Quest IV or V?

Hey, Im not an avid RPG player, but I wanted to give this genre a try, and the 2 titles that stuck out the most for me were Dragon Quest IV and Dragon Quest V.

The problem is, they are both out now, and I dont know if I should start with IV or V. Starting with IV would be obious, but 1up gave V an A+.

which would be the best game to start with? (please dont just say ""they both suck, get [insert title here])

Meaning its practically out allready.

Well, i'd prefer to go in order, and so i would suggest IV first over V, expecialy because V is the better game, so it's best to play the best ones last, you apprecicate each one then. ;)

Edit: Both are fantastic, don't get me wrong, IV & V are both amazing and you cant go wrong with any, but i'd reccomend going in order, so start with IV (it's cheaper now) and get V after.
