Yeah, that's fair!  You always use "we have the mods" to own lemmings.  Lemmings get it!  You have the uber, awesome mods and lemmings don't.  Are lemmings jealous?  Perhaps.  But it is still not fair of you to use "we have mods" as ownage every time!  It gets old.  Take Oblivion, for example.

When this game debuted for 360 and PC, GameSpot cmarked the 360 version with the "best" tag.  GameSpot was doing a fair comparison...the PC version as is vs. the 360 version.   Without mods, the 360 version is considered better by GameSpot.  360 games NEVER HAVE MODS, so how is it fair to compare a modded PC game to the 360 counterpart?  The answer is, it isn't fair.

I find it funny that it takes all thse user created mods for hermits to fully enjoy a game.  Saying "we have the mods" as ownage only makes it appear that you don't enjoy a game much without mods.  It is like saying "the developer didn't give us what we want, so we have to change aspects of the game to make it playable for us".

Try comparing UNMODDED PC games to 360 counterparts next time...after all, it is the more fair thing to do.

BTW, you don't see lemmings saying to hermits, "We have the achievement points and you don't!"

The best tag for the 360 version of Oblivion was garbage.  They're exaclty the same.  That's it.  PC games and consoles games are the same.  Exactly the same.  Sometimes one gets bad ports, sometimes the other gets bad ports.  The only way to pick the better one is replay value or adding life to a game.  PC has that.   Mods.  Done.

Have any of you tried the new UFO Extraterrestrials game? It just came out a few days ago and is almost an exact remake of Xcom with a few little quirks. I am debating getting it. I Really enjoy Xcom and have for ever, but I play it so meticulously I get bogged down rather fast (like reloading the combat when my soldiers die, reloading when I miss a UFO or get shot down myself, etc etc).

I only reload when my soldiers that are important to me die (Greg Kasavin, Brad Shoemaker, Arnie, Yuzo Akira (was awesome on a battleship mission) and Dutch) but if they aren't then its fine (Jason Ocampo, sorry, and Leon from RE).  Otherwise I have no problems with death.  It makes it interesting.... though the only other time I really reloaded was when the USA stopped it's funding.

Hey Zuljin, did you get to any of the devil's games? I hope my Flyers are a bit better next year, being last place by a mile was fairly depressing!! Hopefully we'll be competitive next year, but I doubt it highly. At least the stinkin rangers lost today, but at the same time I can't stand Buffalo....Good playoffs none the less, far better than the NBA's that's for sure. :)

None of the playoff games sadly. :(  Yeah, the Flyers played really bad this year.  Kinda wierd.  Yeah Rangers lost.  Happy as anything right now.  Since the Devils weren't going I thought, "If the Devils aren't going, then sure as hell the Rangers aren't."

I'm rooting for Buffalo in the east but the Ducks in the west...

Anyway... X-Com 2 rocks, but does anyone know if the steam version still had that damn research tree bug?

I would pay at least $20 for it.  You clearly don't know X-Com.

Other way around for me.  Prey's presentation kicked Half-Life 2's butt IMO.

X-Com Terror from the Deep is now on STEAM!

X-Com TFTD is the sequel to X-Com: UFO Defense, which is arguably the best game ever and the only game which has never been duplicated sucessfully.  TFTD isn't as good as UFO Defense but it's much harder.  It's still a great game and at the price it's being released it's a bargain.

I'm really excited by this.  Although I have the DOS and Windows version of X-Com 1 and 2 I'll be buying this one too.  And since 2K is releasing this, I so hope that they're doing a remake.

Hovertank 3-D actually.  Wolfenstein 3D was the third.  id made it after they first made Hovertank 3-D and then Catacombs 3-D.

PC Gamer.  Games for Windows... I just hate the staff.  That's why I hate the mag.  I don't like their style, writing, affliations and well after listening to their podcast, them overall.
