It would be nice if they had HDMI cables. I managed to get the Elite back when it came out so I have that HDMI cable. When I got my PS3 Slim when it came out I was rather disappointed it didn't have an HDMI cable but that wasn't a killer since I already had one. Now I just swap the cables in the back when I'm using them. Luckily my monitor also came with a cable for my PC. :p

If you like gaming, yes. It's always better to have more systems so you can play more games.

Well, since Tactical RPGs are RPGs and X-Com is a tactical RPG in addition to everything else it is (which is mainly a turn based tactics game and a tycoon game too), it easily takes the cake for me. Otherwise, probably Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines.

ALL I was saying is that Killzone 2 looks VERY impressive for only using 256MB of RAM.urdead18
You do realize that PS3 architecture and PC architecture is different right? The way it handles memory and they way the CPU and GPU interact and etc etc? This is why one wonders why a port of a console game has system requirements 3x the specs of the console... the way the system works is different so you can't compare it like that really.

I'm mainly a PC Gamer but I got a Wii and 360 too. Love all of them but PC comes first.

I got a Wii cause it has some very good games and I can play some awesome old Gamecube stuff now. I got a 360 for NHL 08 but got some other games too.

PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE PLEEAAASSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEE gain some knowledge about online gaming PLEASE. If you think these graphics blow for an online game well you need some real SCHOOLING in this world of online gaming.

You see there is a thing called BANDWITH. Lets say it again BANDWITH!!!. You se the more a developer pumps up the graphics with a lot going on there is a concern and a cause for LAG lets say this againg LAG!!!

Ok at the present time the internet connections can not PERMIT much more in terms of graphics for online becuase the more the graphics are pumped up the more there has to be pushed through the internet PIPELINE.

So what have we learned here. That by all means the Single player portion of Halo 3 is going to look FREAKING SICK!!! And as for the online GREATNESS these graphics look pretty DAM GOOD PERIOD for what can be pushed through the network at the moment.

Erm, that's wrong.  I can max out my graphics on my PC game and lag because my computer can't manage to process all the info while someone else can.  My bandwidth doesn't do a thing.  All you get through your connection is what the game must show and stuff.  If your settings are low then you still recieve the data for the explosion except you computer shows it nicely if you have high settings or simply if you have low settings.

The only thing being pushes is data.  If graphics were being pushed then everyone would always lag.  The reason in MP games graphics should be set lower is because of Frame Rate and lots of people playing at the same time.  You have to be in sync so the CPU works more and Frame Rate can drop.

I knew about the steam games, since they all run under their own program, but since all the games you listed require a patch for it to work, do most games not need a CD after a certain patch? Because I know that doesn't. I patched Diablo to 1.09, but the CD is still required.Tekki17

That's cause Diablo runs off of the CD.  The main data stays on the CD.  They did that to save space.  The install is only like 16 MB or something like that.
