@Decessus You do know that movies are non-interactive. You do know that books (besides CYOA) are non-interactive. What are games? Interactive. Some more than others. Most games have a linear story that you do not change anything it and it's basically you interacting with a movie. In Mass Effect, you are given choices that change the presentation of the narrative and allow you to shape/alter the personality of your character and the world. These were key selling points to the games (and point that, if they fail to deliver, the consumers have the right to complain about because like every product, if it doesn't deliver what is promised, that means the product is faulty). Bioware shaped Mass Effect 2 and 3 based on fan reaction and feedback. The game is already shaped by the players. They already affected the world. These games are just as much creations of the player as the developers because the developers made these games to be like this.
I play Bioshock on High-Settings on my PC. I got a single core (AMD 64 4000+) CPU, 7950GT (256MB) GPU, 2 Gigs of RAM and the X-Fi soundcards. I play with V-Sync (frame rate caps at 30 and 60) and at 1024X768. I'm getting a new Power Supply that will provide my video card the right amount of amps so I'm hoping for better framerates/resoulution. Not to mention my PC isn't worth $1000 too.
