It's overrated.  The game looks great but it lacks everything else.

As a PC Gamer, I would myself take the 360 over the PS3 for the fact that the platforms are very similar so you can get the same experience. Also there are more games on 360 that would appeal to PC Gamers than those on PS3. Plus if you get Live! Gold and you got Vista you get the whole shabang.

I don't see how America can be called cheap since here we drop cash for expensive crap. Apparently we don't need a PS3 so we aren't buying it.

I call this a double easter egg although it was probably not meant to be that way. It's not as much a HL2 Easter Egg as just a Half-Life easter egg. And it reminds me of the hidden secret in Duke Nukem 3D where the Doom Marine is dead. "That's one DOOMED space marine."

GLQuake is what you are thinking of. It's the best way to run Quake under WinXP. A Google search will turn up plenty of download locations.

The alternative is to install DOSBox and load Quake under it. But, you won't get accelerated graphics or light-sourcing.

Yep. GLQuake is how you should go. Forget running the DOS version... just get the OpenGL version.

They are two different games. Go try which one you prefer. Done.

Also, why are they boycotting if they are still getting the game?
