Apparently if you put in -norestriction after the executable in GTA IV's shortcut target box ( "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\LaunchGTAIV.exe" -norestriction ) you will see a pretty significant performance gain, providing you can allow your hardware to run slightly hotter. Are you by any chance saving the files to an external drive? I used to save videos to mine and if I hadn't used that drive in a few minutes, it would be on a sort of standby and it would pause to turn itself on fully again every time I tried to capture stuff.
Unlikely - but thats the only thing I can think of.
negotiate a truce with him. CTRL+Shift+C for console and enter 'moremoney' for 1,000,000 sporebucks (if you need to) and pay him/them off.Unfortunately this is cheating and it will get you 1 or possible 2 badges that you don't deserve, but it does sort the problem out.
im running 2 factory overclocked 8800gt in SLI, wonder if the game can be played at max at 1650x1080. with 45-60fps ? what would you guys think, or should i turn some of the things down in the game to reach that frame rate at that resolution?Lach0121
I'm running it on one 8800gtx, q6600 with all the settings maxed out at 1440x900 getting a nice framerate so I think you could probably pull that off while still keeping above 40fps.
